Chapter 41 really felt like one of those chapters where nothing is truly "resolved," yet somehow everything changes.

I loved how it began with something as ordinary and warm as Garima asking Mihir why he makes green tea for Tulsi every night. That whole conversation was such a small thing on the surface, but it said so much about Mihir and Tulsi's relationship. The idea that he makes the tea simply because he wants a little of her time was honestly adorable. And Tulsi's "Nani ke pyaar ke liye kabhi kuch nahi dena padta" followed by the teasing about Mihir's terrible green tea was such a natural family moment. It made the later heaviness hit harder because we had just seen Tulsi genuinely happy.

And then Daksha Chachi.

That scene with Mihir was probably one of my favourites in the entire chapter. After six and a half years of silence, that simple "Mihir beta" carried more emotion than a dramatic confrontation ever could. I could almost feel Mihir freezing when he heard it. And I really liked that Daksha Chachi didn't simply praise him for "winning Tulsi back." She reminded him that Tulsi's happiness is also a responsibility, especially because she knows exactly how badly things can break between them. Her warning about respect and trust felt earned, not preachy. And Mihir simply listening instead of defending himself or making promises was such a quiet sign of how much he has changed.

The line about keeping the smile he had seen on Tulsi's face that morning really stayed with me. He finally got the thing he had wanted for so long - to see that unguarded happiness on her face again - and now he understands that getting her back was only the beginning.

Then we move into Munni and Ritik, and honestly... OUCH.

I loved that the revelation didn't happen through some huge confrontation. Munni wasn't planning to confess anything to Ritik. She was simply pushed into saying the truth because Tulsi asked the one question she had been avoiding: why marriage, ever, was impossible for her. And then Ritik walks in at exactly the wrong moment.

That unfinished "main Ritik ko kabhi bhula hi nahi paungi..." was enough.

The image of Munni having to walk past him without looking at him was painful precisely because neither of them had anything they could say in that moment. And Ritik saying her name - just "Munni" - before she left somehow made it worse. There was no accusation, no anger, no dramatic speech. Just the realization that something he had been refusing to acknowledge had suddenly been spoken aloud by the person herself.

And then Ritik at dinner with Timsy was such a heartbreaking little detail. He wasn't really "fine." He was using the child as somewhere to put all the feelings he couldn't deal with. The fact that he was laughing too readily, feeding her, fussing over her, never once looking toward Tulsi... that felt so much more believable than having him explode.

I also really appreciated that Mihir noticed. He didn't interfere immediately, though. That restraint has become such an important part of his character development. Earlier Mihir might have wanted to know everything, fix everything, control the outcome. Here, he notices, files it away, and waits. That pattern repeats beautifully later on the balcony too.

Mitali's scene with Tulsi was another one that quietly broke my heart.

The transformation in Mitali is becoming one of the most interesting parts of this whole storyline for me. Especially because Tulsi herself acknowledges that she once saw Mitali as arrogant, selfish and spoiled - and now she's sitting in front of her saying she doesn't know if she deserves happiness.

That "undo button" line was heartbreaking.

And I loved Tulsi's response because she didn't absolve Mitali of everything. She simply reminded her that regret means nothing if it doesn't lead to change - and Mitali is finally trying to change. The chocolate, the blessing, the almost-motherly way Tulsi fed it to her before her shoot... that was such a tiny gesture, but it said everything about how far their relationship has come.

"Tumhe khoob safalta mile" felt almost symbolic too. Tulsi wasn't just blessing her for a shoot. It felt like she was, in her own way, telling Mitali that she is still allowed to move forward with her life.

And then we finally get the balcony conversation.

I think this was the heart of the chapter for me.

Tulsi saying, "Mujhe khud nahi pata," is powerful because she has spent so much of this story being the person who sees through everyone else. She has answers. She observes. She connects the dots. But here, with four lives tangled together and time running out, even she is genuinely lost.

And Mihir doesn't try to immediately become the hero with a solution.

He listens.

That matters.

The way he tells her, "Hum saath mein samjhenge," and later "Jo unka hai, unka hai," shows just how different he is from the man he used to be. He still has the instinct to control and protect, especially when it comes to Ritik, but now he can recognize that not every problem belongs to him to solve.

I especially loved the moment when he almost goes to check on Ritik and Tulsi stops him because Ritik asked to be left alone. Mihir accepting that, even though every fatherly instinct in him wants to go to his son, was another quiet demonstration of growth.

And the ending was beautiful in its simplicity.

Nothing is solved.

Munni still loves Ritik. Ritik is still trapped between what he feels and what he has endured. Mitali is drowning in guilt and desperately trying to undo years of damage. Timsy is standing in the middle of a situation she doesn't even understand. Tulsi has only a few days to somehow navigate all of this without hurting anyone further.

And yet, for the first time, Tulsi isn't carrying that entire weight alone.

That final "Hum suljha lenge iss uljhan ko" felt less like a promise that everything would magically work out and more like a promise that whatever happens next, they will face it together.

That's what I think I loved most about this chapter. The title isn't just describing the plot. The entire chapter feels like an emotional knot tightening from every direction - and instead of forcing it open, the story lets us sit inside that uncertainty with these characters.

There are no easy villains here anymore. There are people who made terrible choices, people who were hurt by those choices, people trying to make amends, people still carrying wounds they don't know how to put down, and people who love each other enough to be terrified of making the wrong decision.

And honestly, I am now just as confused as everyone else about how this is going to untangle.

Which, considering the title, feels like exactly where we are supposed to be.

Update the next one soon. Hopefully..😃

Chapter 40... What a wonderful and deeply moving update! You have captured the dynamic between Mihir and Tulsi so beautifully as always, keeping their connection feeling authentic, warm, and completely true to the heart of their bond. The way you handled the quiet, unsaid emotions in their conversation especially when Mihir looks to Tulsi for reassuring support amidst the chaotic household drama was executed with so much delicate care. The subtle, tender glance shared between Mihir and Tulsi and the emotional beat where Tulsi simply stands by Mihir, offering strength without needing a long speech, loved it!

I also loved how thoughtfully you are including the rest of the family into the narrative, giving every character their own moment to shine. The tense interaction between Mitali and Tulsi added a compelling layer of emotional complexity to the chapter; seeing Tulsi handle Mitali with her signature patience and grace, even when tensions ran high, really showcased her inner strength true to the essence of Tulsi of the show. Bringing the rest of the Virani family together in that living room scene instantly brought back that classic, comforting nostalgic feel, balancing the sharper character dynamics with genuine warmth. The dialogue across the entire scene felt completely natural, creating a rich, engaging atmosphere that kept me hooked from start to finish.

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartwarming and well-crafted chapter! Your attention to character depth, interpersonal dynamics, and emotional nuance makes every interaction feel fully earned. I am truly looking forward to seeing how these relationships continue to evolve in the story you have planned going forward. Please don't stop updating.

Frankly, the day everything is resolved, the story ends, so every chapter something is partly resolved and something else get entangled- especially this chapter - the title itself was entanglement- uljhan.

I’m consciously trying to give variety of emotions - a see-saw kind - in each chapter! Yes tulsi ko genuinely happy dikhaana hi tha - to make the later part hit harder.

And then Daksha Chachi.

That scene with Mihir was probably one of my favourites in the entire chapter. After six and a half years of silence, that simple "Mihir beta" carried more emotion than a dramatic confrontation ever could. I could almost feel Mihir freezing when he heard it. And I really liked that Daksha Chachi didn't simply praise him for "winning Tulsi back." Her warning about respect and trust felt earned, not preachy. And Mihir simply listening instead of defending himself or making promises was such a quiet sign of how much he has changed.

Yes actually this scene was planned since the first Daksha Mihir scene (after that interview) - if you remember even that day she saw that wall (although I didnt disclose what was on that wall for another 10 chapters or so I think).

Glad you liked that scene and it didn’t come out as preachy. Also I could “show” rather than “tell” that Mihir has changed so much.

The line about keeping the smile he had seen on Tulsi's face that morning really stayed with me. He finally got the thing he had wanted for so long - to see that unguarded happiness on her face again - and now he understands that getting her back was only the beginning.

Yes getting her smile back is only the beginning- keeping it intact is the more difficult work.

Then we move into Munni and Ritik, and honestly... OUCH.
Loving this reaction😁

I loved that the revelation didn't happen through some huge confrontation. Munni wasn't planning to confess anything to Ritik. She was simply pushed into saying the truth because Tulsi asked the one question she had been avoiding: why marriage, ever, was impossible for her. And then Ritik walks in at exactly the wrong moment.

That unfinished "main Ritik ko kabhi bhula hi nahi paungi..." was enough.

Thank you. So glad you liked how it came out.

Yes until now Ritik was functioning on the principle - Jo jaisa chal raha hai chalne do.

Munnis words shook him out of that.

So glad I could portray Ritik’s state of mind so well.

He knows now - rushing to conclusions and wanting to control things his way - only makes things more messy. Losing tulsi and rhe entire process of winning her back slowly - has sobered and matured him up.

Glad I could portray the change in Mitali so welll - if you see that last phone call from Noina (around the time of media circus) and then the car chase by her - made Mitali question everything she had been taught. And especially tulsis “kaidi nahi” and her early efforts to make Mitali feel like family.

So glad that the entire scene came out well - especially the chocolate feeding.

"Tumhe khoob safalta mile" felt almost symbolic too. Tulsi wasn't just blessing her for a shoot. It felt like she was, in her own way, telling Mitali that she is still allowed to move forward with her life.

Exactly - glad u could catch that symbolism

And then we finally get the balcony conversation.

I think this was the heart of the chapter for me.

For me too - Tulsi is finally learning to share her burdens with him not only because she has decided to, but also because he’s proving himself worthy of it

Tulsi saying, "Mujhe khud nahi pata," is powerful because she has spent so much of this story being the person who sees through everyone else. She has answers. She observes. She connects the dots. But here, with four lives tangled together and time running out, even she is genuinely lost.

Yes - it was huge for tulsi to say that - I don’t know

And Mihir doesn't try to immediately become the hero with a solution.

He listens.

That matters.

The way he tells her, "Hum saath mein samjhenge," and later "Jo unka hai, unka hai," shows just how different he is from the man he used to be. He still has the instinct to control and protect, especially when it comes to Ritik, but now he can recognize that not every problem belongs to him to solve.

Yes he’s now learning to hold and sit inside the problems with her rather than trying to resolve everything with his own thinking or taking charge

I especially loved the moment when he almost goes to check on Ritik and Tulsi stops him because Ritik asked to be left alone. Mihir accepting that, even though every fatherly instinct in him wants to go to his son, was another quiet demonstration of growth.

Glad you caught that too

And the ending was beautiful in its simplicity.

You echo what I felt when I was writing this.

The beauty of this tragedy is that almost everyone’s first thought is about Timsy while Timsy herself is enjoying her childhood oblivious to everything

And yet, for the first time, Tulsi isn't carrying that entire weight alone.

That final "Hum suljha lenge iss uljhan ko" felt less like a promise that everything would magically work out and more like a promise that whatever happens next, they will face it together.

Exactly - they are now together in everything - Mihir is proving himself worthy of sharing things with him

That's what I think I loved most about this chapter. The title isn't just describing the plot. The entire chapter feels like an emotional knot tightening from every direction - and instead of forcing it open, the story lets us sit inside that uncertainty with these characters.

Exactly! Word to everything you said!!

There are no easy villains here anymore. There are people who made terrible choices, people who were hurt by those choices, people trying to make amends, people still carrying wounds they don't know how to put down, and people who love each other enough to be terrified of making the wrong decision.

Yes until this point (take a hint for the future from this😜)- Noina has been the only villian. The rest is all people’s choices, circumstances, fears etc.

And honestly, I am now just as confused as everyone else about how this is going to untangle.

I’m challenging myself as a writer with this track to do something radically different- let’s hope I don’t fall flat!

Which, considering the title, feels like exactly where we are supposed to be.

Yes exactly!

Update the next one soon. Hopefully..😃

So so sorry about the delay! Have been really unwell and feeling very weak!

hey dear, thank you for this beautiful review - so sorry for the delay in response but I was (still m) unwell!

Thank you - so glad the dynamics and connection between TuHir came out well!

I also loved how thoughtfully you are including the rest of the family into the narrative, giving every character their own moment to shine. So glad I’m able to blend/handle the family well and am able to hold almost all the characters threads well. If you see I am keeping only as much family around as I can handle - removed dev Saloni, Parth I sent to US to be with his parents and Karan Nandini and their 3 kids are going to come at a time when they can add to the drama!!

It’s a pleasure writing this. Thank you for appreciating the nuances of my writing so well!!

Yes I will keep updating as long as I keep getting reviews from you 3-4 people! I get disheartened when I don’t even get these.

Finally responded to this beautiful review - really sorry once again for the delay!
