As we celebrate Janmashtami and the birth of our beloved Kanha, it is only fitting that a little bit of Gokul's mischief finds its way here too.
Kanha had his makkhan, his mischief and most importantly his own little टोली. This time, the Matkas are hidden, the makkhan is out of reach and the first thing you need is a टोली of your own.
The round will unfold over four days and consists of three phases. First, you gather your people. Then, you search for the hidden Matkas. Finally, you attempt to break them. How far you go and how wisely you use your टोली is entirely up to you.

Phase 1. The Gokul Gathering: Build Your
टोली
- Each contestant must open an individual thread in the Mahabharat Katha forum by posting a short post of a minimum of 50 words on any Mahabharat-related story, incident, character or episode involving Shri Krishna. This thread will then become the home of their own टोली.
- We, the organisers, have opened a common wall dedicated to this round in the Mahabharat Katha forum, where you may invite fellow members to become a part of your टोली by tagging. The link to the wall is posted at the end of this post.
- You may also quote members in different forums across IF and invite them to join your टोली. {Please note that, if required, such quoted posts may later be moved by the moderators of the respective forums to the wall dedicated to this round in the Mahabharat Katha forum.}
- You are welcome to make your invitation as charming, funny or persuasive as you wish. A little creativity is encouraged, after all, convincing Gokulvaasis to join you should not be entirely straightforward! However, you must use any ONE of the following mandatory invitation lines while inviting a member, and your username and individual thread link must be clearly included.
Invitation 1

- Once a member decides to join your टोली, they simply need to visit your individual thread and complete both of these little formalities: 1) Like the post you have written to create your टोली, 2) Copy-paste any ONE of the following comments below. Yes, liking your post is compulsory too! After all, if someone is joining your टोली, they should at least like the post that brought their Gokul into existence! 😂🦚

Consider me successfully recruited! I hereby join [Your Username]'s Kanha Ki टोली and happily claim my place among the Gokulvaasis!
- A member is completely free to decide how they wish to participate. They may support just one contestant, or they may choose to be a part of several contestants' टोलीs. The choice is entirely theirs. Note that, any participant of this game can't be a part of a टोली of any other participant.
- Every member who joins your टोली (by completing both the steps) will award you points according to their ladder or non-ladder group.
Ladder Points
Beginner - 1 points
Explorer - 2 points
Navigator - 4 points
Voyager - 6 points
Dazzler - 8 points
Rocker - 10 points
Sparkler - 15 points
Stunner - 20 points
Trailblazer - 25 points
Achiever - 30 points
Elite - 35 points
Master - 40 points
Legend - 45 points
Icon - 50 points
Titan - 55 points
Non-Ladder Points
Coolbie - 60 points
Viewbie - 80 points
Veteran/Alumni - 80 points
Moderator - 100 points
Channel Moderator - 120 points
Global Moderator - 140 points
Admin - 150 points
For easy scoring, it's requested to all the participants that you reserve your second post and maintain their टोली member list along with their ladder/non-ladder level and their corresponding points.
- It's not mandatory that you have to build a टोली before moving ahead. If you wish, you may proceed to the next phase even without completing, or even beginning your phase 1. Naturally, this may reduce your chances of earning a higher score in the round. However, you will get additional 100 points (entirely from my side) for opening your thread with a nice write up as mentioned in the first rule.
- Choose your timing carefully. Once you move ahead, there is no going back. Whenever you are ready to proceed to Phase 2, announce it in your own टोली thread. The Phase 2 puzzles will then be sent to you via PM. Once you have made this declaration, Phase 1 ends for you. You cannot return to recruiting members and any comments made afterwards by members wishing to join your टोली will not be considered valid and will not earn you any points.
- Note no extension of deadline will be given for this round, so as to remain fair to everyone, for the same reason I kept a longer deadline already. Deadline is September 7, 9.30 PM IST.
Phase 2: The Hunt for the Five Matkas
- Once you have officially moved ahead, you will receive the Phase 2 puzzles via PM that will lead you towards five hidden Matkas.
- Every Matka you successfully find will earn you 100 points, giving you a maximum of 500 points in this phase. There are no additional points for finding a Matka faster than anyone else.
- You may take the help of your टोली in finding the Matkas or you may choose to work entirely on your own. That decision is entirely yours. However, Phase 2 and Phase 3 must not be discussed publicly anywhere on the forum. Do not post about the puzzles, clues, Matkas, answers or your progress in any thread. If you choose to involve your टोली, you will have to make your own arrangements for discussing the challenges privately.
IMPORTANT STRATEGIC NOTE
Suppose you decide to move to Phase 2 and choose to take the help of your टोली. Another participant, however, may still be working in Phase 1 and building their own टोली. Since a member of your टोली may also be part of another participant's टोली, there is a possibility that the Phase 2 puzzles or clues you share with your टोली could reach participants who have not officially moved to Phase 2 yet. They may then get an opportunity to unofficially begin thinking about or working on Phase 2 while still continuing to gather points in Phase 1. This could put you at a strategic disadvantage. Therefore, think carefully before sharing your Phase 2 or Phase 3 puzzles and clues with your टोली, or before deciding how much help to take from them. Your टोली can certainly be a strength, but how you use that strength is entirely your decision. Choose wisely.
Finding all five Matkas, however, is not the end.
Phase 3: THE Matki Phodo Moment
- Each of the five Matkas found in Phase 2 will be associated with its own puzzle. Solve the puzzle connected to a Matka, and you break it.
- Every Matka successfully broken will earn you 150 points, giving you a maximum of 750 points in this phase.
- Phase 2 and Phase 3 answers must be sent to Quantum-Dot via PM before the deadline.
So the strategy is entirely yours. Will you spend more time building a powerful टोली before moving ahead? Or will you move quickly and solve everything alone? Or will you gather your people first and later decide how much of the puzzle trail you are willing to share with them?
Your potential score comes from three places: the members you successfully gather during Phase 1, the five Matkas you find in Phase 2, and the five Matkas you break in Phase 3. Gather your टोली or go alone.
Find the five Matkas.
Break them one by one.
Sometimes a little mischief, a little strategy and the right company can take you surprisingly far.
