anoop still seems in disbelief over soumya's case...soumya and jeet have opened up but somewhere the plotline just seems disconnecting as a viewer..Originally posted by: Minionite
Ah yes this is it. The only thing that's changed is that Saumya is a bit more relaxed, Krish is a bit more attentive, and Saumya and Jeet have a bit better relationship. Warna everything else is as is.

You know my guess is that they (aka the CVs) knew the story up to the revelation. And then they saw the love that Jeet and Saumya are getting online and they lost track of what they wanted to show next. Cause TRPs aren't out yet, haven't been for a while, so Sitara can't be sticking its nose in to ruin the show for TRPs, but they could be doing it to give viewers more of Jeet and Saumya without realizing why the show got the love in the first place.

@ Red: Jaanti hoon. Last time Sitara did something new, they ended the show abruptly ruining the whole vibe. Go watch Keh Doon Tumhein some day. First Sitara show ever jahan main lead ek serial killer hai with potentially multiple personality disorder and maybe some other psychological issues and yet he has the ability to fall in love with a single mother and her child to such an extent that he would much rather die in her arms than ever let even a single harm befall her because of him.
I remember this! I got back into ITV after Dahleez through Imlie Gen 1 (Aryan/Imlie) right when the Aryan/Imlie season ended, so I followed other shows that came at least a year after it, and this was one of it. Also, remembered the guy from Teri Meri Love Stories Episode 2 (with the Sab Mera Tu song!) so was intrigued, but never got around to watching it.
Would have to go look for where I can watch it!

I doubt that's the case since they have a lot of bank episodes. So, they aren't writing the show as it's going. That might change soon depending on their schedules and if they change, but so far, I think this is what they might've planned. The show's editing and pace has been questionable since Day 1 though, so I'm not surprised that barring Jeet and Saumya, the other characters haven't gotten any development so far.
Haha can't believe this guy was "cute and innocent" in his previous shows. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
kya personal growth ki hai to go from cute to 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Sameeee! Story matters a lot to me as well! The problem I have with YTF is that no characters apart from the leads (well maybe Krish is an exception lol) has any Redeeming qualities. I can't tolerate the sight of any of them.
I totally agree on this shaadi jaap getting on my nerves as well. I'm so done with it already. I FF any scene with the senior Mathurs and Saxenas coz I don't want to be ragebaited anymore.
I wish these family characters were not forced down our throat and they took almost 50% of today's airtime.
I agree with the assessment you all have that the writers clearly had a structure in mind leading up to Roops reveal. Uske baad se the story has completely flatlined and this shaadi track is just 😭
post roop revelation, story's gone back to square one..i thought anoop would reform to some extent or at least have some empathy towards his daughter...but his wife is also no less ..i mean, yeah this matter still exists whereby folks still think of societal standards but soumya herself looks stressed out over clicking the photos..this track had potential but execution is so boring..
can I just say I read that as "Post Poop revelation" coz same difference.
See I feel there is a reason why this show is set in a small town- and everything boils down to shaadi and izzat. But such a sham- why even pretend to be "modern" to send your daughter to a college is end mein use shaadi hi Karwaani thi.
My personal gripe with the Mathurs aside, the Jeet Saumya scenes continue to tug at your heart.
Jeet desperately needs a hug or even made to feel wanted and loved. I hate that it's probably going down the route of Jeet saving Saumya from a potential scammer groom. I wish they now showed an arc of how Saumya is standing by Jeet in whatever endeavors he engages in vis-à-vis Saxenas. That poor guys needs a break from being Saumyas knight in shining armor.
But still credit where credit is due. Their scenes continue to excel and have the right gravitas and development in equation quotient. Loved Saumyas food for thought- Aapko beer ki kya zarrorat hai if you are content in life?" Also, I agree about showcasing the ML drinking Alcohol in a normal lite. Not to induce rage or coz he's angry at something or whatever. It's normal. Chalta hai.
Their scenes have the right amount of romance, humor, poignancy, emotional connection that they always feel fresh. I like writers who can develop intimacy without depending on physical proximity. So full marks on that front! If only the toxicity of the adults could be dialed down... sigh.
