India will look to complete a clean sweep when they take on Zimbabwe in the third and final T20I of the series today, July 26, at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

The visitors wrapped up the three-match series with a comprehensive 90-run victory in the second T20I.

Ishan Kishan starred with 81 off 44 balls, while Tilak Varma smashed an unbeaten 60 off just 29 deliveries to power India to 219/5.Zimbabwe were then bowled out for 129 as Abhishek Sharma returned impressive figures of 3/17. Debutant Yash Thakur claimed two wickets, while Prince Yadav struck twice before leaving the field with a hamstring injury.

With the series already secured, India could ring in a few changes as they chase a 3-0 sweep.

Wicketkeeper-opener Prabhsimran Singh and spin-bowling all-rounder Harsh Dubey are among those waiting for a chance to make their T20I debuts.

Having already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead, India have dominated proceedings with a fearless brand of cricket, excelling in both batting and bowling.

The second T20I showcased India's depth as Ishan Kishan struck a scintillating 81 off 44 balls, while Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 60 from just 29 deliveries to power the visitors to an imposing 219/5.

The bowlers then backed up the batting effort with a clinical display to bundle Zimbabwe out well short of the target, completing a comprehensive 90-run triumph.

ZIM vs IND 3rd T20I

Young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi has continued to impress with his explosive starts, while Mayank Yadav's express pace has unsettled Zimbabwe's batting lineup throughout the series. With Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma and Kishan all finding form, India possess a batting unit capable of posting another daunting total.

For Zimbabwe, the final match represents an opportunity to restore some pride after two one-sided defeats. The hosts will hope their experienced campaigners can produce a stronger performance with both bat and ball and avoid a series whitewash in front of their home fans. A more disciplined bowling effort and improved application from the top order will be crucial if they are to challenge a confident Indian side.

Although the series result has already been decided, both teams will have plenty to play for. India will be eager to maintain their winning momentum with a perfect 3-0 finish, while Zimbabwe will be determined to sign off on a positive note by ending the visitors' unbeaten run.

The ghosts of a miserable United Kingdom tour have finally been laid to rest. After enduring six consecutive defeats and back-to-back series losses against Ireland and England, Shreyas Iyer has guided India to successive victories over Zimbabwe to seal the three-match T20I series with a game to spare. The pressure surrounding the new captain has eased to some extent, and Sunday's third T20I in Harare now presents India with an opportunity to look beyond immediate results and towards the future.

The timing could hardly be better. India have little left to prove in the series, while a chance to assess the strength of the squad ahead of a busy international calendar could prove invaluable. A whitewash would be the ideal finish, but equally important will be giving fringe players meaningful international exposure.

PRINCE YADAV'S INJURY

India's plans have been influenced by Prince Yadav's hamstring injury, sustained during his impressive spell in the second T20I. The right-arm pacer dismissed Ben Curran and Sikandar Raza before pulling up and leaving the field, creating an opening in the bowling attack.

One player who could finally get his chance is Prabhsimran Singh. The Punjab wicketkeeper-batter has travelled with the squad but is yet to make his international debut in any format. An explosive top-order batter known for his fearless strokeplay, Prabhsimran could be rewarded if India decide to rotate their batting unit.

Another name in contention is Suryansh Shedge. While the all-rounder has already represented India in One-Day Internationals, he is still awaiting his maiden T20I cap. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him an attractive option in a dead rubber.
