karishma and Saif are good actors maybe not the best movies but they deserved recognition.

I’m pretty sure past winners have been questioning their wins and its credibility several times over the years. Recently after Alu Arjun, Alia, and Kriti’s wins. Before that after Akshay Kumar’s win. Before that years ago after Karishma Kapoor and even Saif Ali Khan’s wins. NA awards stopped being about merit only and it became about PR and connections. Kartik winning is shocking but given how strong his PR is not at all that surprising.

how easily these 2 performances get snubbed due to the content of the movies and certain scenes..ahh no..coz they performed brilliantly..would you say the same about kate winslet winning oscar for the reader? the double standards..

Nope dead serious. I saw Bramyugam . It was a really good movie too. Very atmospheric and gorgeous cinematography with average script. Though I enjoyed Bhoothakalam much more .

But Mammotty was strictly average in the movie. He was almost hamming. He's done better roles actually that could've been given this award if they were so hell bent upon giving him one. Could have given him award for Kalamkaval.

It's like they're weakest roles of strong actors.

No comments on Karthik. I've not seen the particular movie he won the award for so I've no idea whether he deserves it or not.

Looks like most people couldn't grasp the basic idea that it's not just the actor , but also the role for which you're giving him the award. It's not like Padma Bhushan or Padma Shree where you're awarding only the indivual for his skills and contribution.

now you need to bring kate winslet to defend ranbir? please he is not that good actor. he has same expression in every movie. even in Barfi Priyanka overshadowed him. he tried to do a poor copy of Charlie chaplin in that. thanks to PC for making that movie memorable. ranbir was annoying with trying to give thousands expression in 10 seconds. he is boring to watch.

I hate Ranbir as an individual for his deplorable lack of moral character, his serial cheating, his overenthusiastic pr and how he treats his wife like garbage ( even Aloo deserves better ! That says a lot about RK ig ! )

But he was absolutely fantastic in Animal. I hated his character, as everyone should ,but he was just brilliant from beginning to end. Spectacular performance.

Unfortunately, Shahid was mid in Kabir Singh. Nothing spectacular about his performance for sure !
