Maybe after her 2nd child is around 2..Then she may be able to do the heavy lifting. Right now the Big ticket films need her. The industry and superstars get their blockbusters. She gets good money for smaller roles. It is a good balancing act.I don't think she is planning a third baby.
Deepika did 5 films during her first pregnancy. Two during her 2nd.She has Dua to look after, who turns 2 this September.
Deepika, Katrina, Alia, Kriti and all the actresses who are making big bucks can invest in adaptation of novels into movies like many actresses do in Hollywood
China has entire market of dramas adapted from fluffy web novels, a billion dollar industry
With the money and freedom they have, it is surprising to me that they continously rely on male stars to invest and hire them
It only means there's no creativity or zeal towards their work, which is fine but then when you have the money and power and you don't make necessary changes like the changes Deepika demands from other producers (in which I support her), then after a point this discussion seems like deflection
I agree she has more to offer
Hopefully, once she delivers and the baby is older she starts working in meatier roles
Well Deepika wanted to adapt the Intern then Rishi ji unfortunately passed away. She should adapt a book into a movie, book adaptions are doing well like the housemaid (movie) and Off campus (web series).Originally posted by: MsWhiskerson

Her acting has regressed so much. She was so so good in Tamasha and Piku. There is no harm in doing glam roles, it is an imp tool to fight the ageism of the industry. The problem is she has completely let go off the actor in her . I feel Kareena has done a very good job at balancing both commercial and content driven roles.
