I was wondering the same and i thought he did't feel good to tell them that he loved a married woman though he fell in love before knowing it.

And as per the original show, Rakshit's mom will go against R&A and even join hands with Ira i guess. Guess she will prefer Ira after knowing A is a divorcee.

For drama sake he will be clueless about family intentions,else would try to stop them before is late. But eventually A and her family had to find out R loves her,she can't live in that "R sir loves Ira" delusion for long when,like said before,the time he's awake is all about A,helped her at office,wouldn't bother to give back to Ira if she does something against A,now he's also involved in her new house problem. Returns home just to sleep,not even meeting his family as much as before. When will spend time with other girlfriend? And if makers want to show her mom is right to doubt R intentions and throw insults every time they meet then this love news will only confirm she's right. But hiding the truth is pointless, isn't it? It will come out today or tomorrow.. either through M herself or someone else (ideally I thought it would be L's mother C.. since they showed her to be a good friend to R's mother). If he had told them the truth... they would have been prepared (and hypothetically wouldn't have made a fool of themselves by asking for A's hand in front of S family)

If R knows his family is incredibly involved in his love life.. he should have clearly laid down the ground reality instead of giving false hope to his family.

Ideally would have told them the truth right after failed proposal and cancel upcoming dramas. More chances to understand/accept her once they know how she was tortured by her husband. Too late to understand now,have to portray her as someone who made their boy fall in love knowing he's rich,if they also get her sister involved with his brother-another mess there,another one unaware he speaks with 1 already engaged girl-imagine what Bharadwaj vs Sharma scenes will be,especially mothers war. Add husband mom,she can tell some bad guy R was after her bahu;court track should be to reveal husband abuse,instead RA will be judged. How to prove friendship was only friendship? R being in love doesn't help at all,unless he's made to deny in court he had feelings for her since long.

And if ira was going to reveal to sudha then why would they show lalit mom and sudha friends ?
