Congratulations to RCB for their emphatic, classic, memorable victory against GT.

They proved themselves as the true champions.

The Royal Challengers were strong right from the start. They began with a win against the Sunrisers at home and ended with back-to-back wins in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Kohli sealed the win, took off his helmet, raised his right hand, and gestured towards the dugout. The team-mates rushed in to embrace him. Now, the great man raises the bat and punches the air with his bat. He then searches for his family and blows a kiss in that direction. Pure ecstasy in the RCB camp. Gill, meanwhile, looks dejected. The fireworks go up in Ahmedabad. The players now exchange handshakes. Krunal Pandya holds up five fingers to mark his fifth IPL title. Some fun scenes in the RCB dug-out as Phil Salt drowns a bucket of iced water on head coach Andy Flower's head. Incredible scenes at the NMS, especially for all the RCB players and their fans.

RCB killed this game in the powerplays. After opting to bowl, they removed Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan - two batters with 700+ runs this season - inside the powerplay. The Titans even demoted Jos Buttler to No. 4 but that didn't work as Nishant Sindhu and Buttler struggled to gain any sort of momentum. Washington Sundar's fighting 50 took GT to a decent total. But decent totals aren't sufficient against this RCB side.
