It's not like he hit centuries during WC smiley36 he was not up to the mark then, now it's just gotten worse. What would he get by not supporting HP ? He's already captain of the Indian Team.

RS was not doing good for 2-3 years too

HP himself said he agreed to return only on the condition that he will be given the captaincy. A team can't have 2 captains, so they had to remove RS.

For the first time this season, RCB have been bowled out. After winning the toss and electing to field, the Gujarat Titans were fully backed by their bowling unit, which struck at regular intervals. Once the top order was dismantled, the rest of the RCB batters struggled to find their timing on a challenging surface. Arshad Khan was the standout performer among the bowlers, finishing with impressive figures of 3 for 22. Rashid Khan provided his trademark control, delivering an economical spell and claiming 2 for 19. However, it was Jason Holder who seemed like a man possessed tonight; he was everywhere on the field, claiming three catches and chipping in with two crucial wickets to seal a dominant performance for GT. Should be an easy chase for GT.

Jason Holder: (Did you carry a magnet in your pocket because wherever you went, the ball followed you?) The ball followed me around, I'm just happy that I held on to every single chance that came my way. I thought the energy in the field today was outstanding. It's something that we would have spoken about in the dressing room, but just credit to the boys who came out with their energy today. (What was your bowling plan?) I think there's always something in the wicket here on the red soil. And so my thing is just to hit a good length, not to be too short or too full and just try to extract as much bounce as I possibly can with my length. So just get in a good area and just make it uncomfortable for the bats to hit me off a good length. (Talk us through that catch) For me, I just committed to it. And when I first went to the area, it was trying to just sight down and pick it up. But after I picked it up, I realized it was a chance, and just thankfully we didn't collide. But for me, I wasn't going to pull out of it. And I just wanted to make sure that one of us got to it and gave a good effort. KG is a big bowler and he's a big player. And for me, it's just related message to him that, he did play some really good shots. I think if he held his length and continued to hit the wicket as hard as he possibly can, you know, he was able to extract that bounce, so we just got the better of Virat. It was a good shot delivery. And we always knew, we always knew that we could take it for us up front. You know, even although the first over probably didn't go according to plan, he was able to come back and bowl the next and second over, which got us back into the game. (As a bowling unit, you'll be mighty thrilled with this because everyone contributed today?) Yeah, 100%. You know, it was a total team effort. I just really want to commend the boys on the energy in the field. It's something that we really spoke about over the last couple of games that we've played. We probably let ourselves down in the field. So to see the energy that we came up to here today with, it's just outstanding for the boys.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Shubman Gill, SIX, what a shot. Shubman Gill looks a million dollars when he plays shots like that. And look at him hold the pose. He loved that. Full outside off, Gill gets forward and lofts over extra-cover, all timing and this flies over the deep extra-cover fence. That's the shot of the game so far

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Shubman Gill, FOUR, superb inswinger and the thick inside-edge just eludes the dive of Jitesh Sharma to his left. That's a fine delivery, nips back in and Shubman Gill is late on the back foot block, the thick inside-edge misses the dive and the outstretched left hand. Kohli has his hands on his head
