Welcome back students! After a successful Year 1 with all of you passing, it is time for Year 2 of Hogwarts Championship. It is time to represent your houses. It is time to show your wit. It is time to show that you can be both a team player and individual player.
Over the next few weeks, you will be tested on 7 different subjects. Now, to be clear, while you are playing in your houses and a house will emerge as a champion, you are also playing an individual game to win within your house and become the next Head Girl or Boy!
Confused? Well let me explain in the rules below.

Each person is going to rank all 4 houses in the order that they want to be part of them. The 4 houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. I will do my best to try and give you your first 2 choices, but I ask for the ranking so that I can have an equal number (or close to equal) in each house.
This year we already have 4 Head Girls: minakrish for Slytherin, FaizaK for Gryffindor, RainOfDew for Hufflepuff, and SoniRita for Ravenclaw. Each of these ladies will get a chance to choose between 1 to 3 people for their house from the list I give them, in the order that I presented their names above, then I will assign the remaining people into houses.
There will be 2 types of winners. First, of course, there will be a winning house, which means that entire house's members win. Then, in each house, there will be a winner as well, which is the person who scored the most points.
In 4 out of 7 rounds, you will be playing a 100% individual game. What will happen is that your points will be added to the house. There are also "bonus" points for most rounds that will be awarded to individuals only. There will be different types of bonus points each round. In some cases, it might be timing, but in others it could be that negative marking becomes effective after 24 hours. So do read each round’s rules carefully!
In 2 out of 7 rounds, only a few people in your team need to play and it will be the responsibility of the Head Girl to assign these people. These will be head-on rounds on Discord. These games will be open to all viewers, so even if your house isn’t playing, you can still watch the game! And this time around there will be no bonus points awarded to the individuals who play. The score will be added to the House score.
In 1 round, I will leave it to you as a house to decide if you want 1 person to play the round alone, 2 people, 3 people, or the entire house. I will require only 1 submission from each house, but you will get enough time, and it is a slightly creative round.
If there aren't an equal number of people in the houses or if someone drops from the game, then I will ensure the house is not disadvantaged. After each round, I will take the average of that house score and add it to the house points to make up for the lack of a member or two. For example, if Gryffindor has 8 members and the other houses have 10 members, then I will take the average of Gryffindor's score, multiply it by 2, and add it to their house points. Gryffindor will only be disadvantaged in the 3 rounds that require a few members to play since they'll have less members to choose from.
Note that as long as you play (or are part of the game) for at least 4 out of 7 rounds, you will get a special badge! Badge will be shared later once I get it.

So...if that all makes sense then what are you waiting for? Sign up by May 1 11:59 PM IST, rank the houses in order, and show off that house pride! You will be assigned into houses by May 3 11:59 PM IST. I will take sign-ups until this second date, though those will be one offs.
