I enjoyed the MunRik scene today, they were so cute. Ritik being in love is my favorite shade, he is genuinely happy with her and I like how she plays into it.

Ritik's expressions at times does come across as overly done, but honestly that is his character he is expressive, nerdy and emotional and honestly its good to see a character like this.

My theory is a bit diff...I am not sure but Karan just accepting Tanya as his wife doesn't sit well with me given the events of S1. So my theory is he married her and she turned out to be Evil. However Ansh was Savita's Aankon ka Tara...How come she wudn't track Ansh's son if he is Nandini and Ansh's son ? or is it like Karan comes to know that Riyansh is Ansh's son from Niyati but considering Nandini would go into Trauma looking at this kid who is look alike of Ansh... he is just taking care of him ?

That doesn’t explain her prior connection to Ansh who planted her, unless you dismiss that arc completely.

Then it makes no sense for Karan to marry Tanya too. He was almost married to Damini, and when she married Gautam; they still maintained their relationship in a way, given that Damini found out how Gautam had Karan attacked on the day of their wedding to dupe her into marrying him.

It’s only when she moves on with Gautam that he meets Nandini, a couple of weeks later I believe. Even then it’s not love at first sight for him. Somehow they keep arguing over anything and everything and fall in love. Probably because he had a clean slate with her and while he had a sorta dicey, murky or uncomfortable past, they had no issues. He could have interactions with her with no past baggage bothering him and felt light and happy enough.

Then it becomes difficult to make sense of why he would be married to Tanya here in the midst of everything. Especially since he was on the verge of marrying Damini before entering SN post Mandira’s presumed death.

They could however show that he married Tanya by making it seem like Mandira found her post his heartbreak regarding Damini in Australia itself when her family rejected him. He married Tanya in a sorta arranged marriage setup for the sake of his mother. Things didn’t work out between them probably because she didn’t want kids but he did. She had Parth as she couldn’t terminate her pregnancy but divorced Karan as she had no intention of playing mom at all.

But then, it doesn’t work as per the canon of this season, Tulsi has raised Karan.

The show reached crazy heights of popularity back then thanks to his portrayal which was genuinely amazing even if he made us wanna puke and later shower.

TV has not had any strong male characters in ages. Technically if you even look at Mihir, yes, he’s iconic and created history and all.. but Ekta’s heroes have been good boys. There’s nothing memorable about them on an individual level if you take away the romance and the pairing with the heroine. His whole identity and personality is based off of her character, regardless of the character or the show or the actor.

Ansh was genuinely terrifying but he’s also ironically one of the few and first male character who comes to mind when we think of iconic characters of TV played by men. Yes, his character’s defining characteristic was his obsession with Nandini, his iconic moment is his death at his mother’s hands; but he was also shown as someone who could be ruthless, cunning, manipulative, evil on his own. Like he had Vishal killed even though Shobha was always nice to him and they never had any problems as siblings, to save himself and Abhishek. He broke the rules of what it means to be a male character on Indian TV especially when men were no more than sperm donors who were both glorified props and extras in TV shows.

I think that’s why she’s obsessed. She didn’t exactly create a good guy but she ended up creating a very strong masculine character who is the epitome of toxicity but that’s exactly what she wanted to show him as.

It’s sorta bizarre because we shouldn’t idolise men like these, but TV hardly has any relevant male characters that she’s hung up on the one she created who’s irreplaceable. You can get an Anupam for a Tulsi, Piyush for Sujal, Bajaj for Prerna and people will accept them. Essentially, Mihir, Sujal and Anurag are disposable even though they’re absolutely nice and good men. Ansh isn’t replaceable and his disposal can only happen once but it leaves an impression regardless of whether or not you show that he had kid/s post his death.

Same in KZK. She tried her best to show Prena with her forever fav Bajaj, but it was never accepted except by few. So she was never able to discard Anurag or replace the ml. She still had to make AnuPrena as the end game. In S2, she could have easily made Prena Bajaj as the lead pair, but again she couldn’t. She made Shabir the ml and discarded the OG ML in Kayamat, but she couldn’t do that in KZK despite Ronit her being her most fav other than Hiten. Same in KTH. Didn’t she need to release Pyush’s death promo early to calm the audience who were rooting for Sujal Kasish?

I don’t think she’s obsessed with Ansh. She just likes him because he’s her only iconic male villain unlike her fav bajaj who couldn’t become iconic neither through the fake whitewashing she did for him nor as a villain. Ansh is not just her iconic male villain but also ITV’s iconic villain, and she brought him her now to show shock for the audience and Tulsi and try to get more trps

Yeah, he sucked as Eklavya. Ansh is his Everest and everything he’s done since sucks and looks pale in comparison. Ekta even made that show on Sony with him as a romantic lead and it tanked because no one was buying him as main hero

oh hello, I didn't say I hate Ansh' son in this season because Ansh r**ed Nandani.

I said I can't imagine Akashdeep and Gauri playing son/stepson and mother/stepmother after having seen that traumatic scene.

It was clearly about the actors not the character. And obviously the actors have performed that scene whether or not this particular act happened in this show.

Any other person playing Ansh' son, I would have liked him, in fact I was waiting for the entry till it was Pearl who was supposed to play this character..

I am not claiming anything about whether or not this season actually had Ansh Nandani r**e or not.

I am hoping that Gautam Teesha were together for a wishful thinking not claiming that they actually had any relation here. There is a difference between hoping and claiming.

Not even considering the fact that makers haven't taken away the very reason for Gautam Teesha marriage (unlike they did it for Karan Tanya illegal marriage)

I am not assuming anything from season 1 to be true for this season.

And yes in season 1, Karan was a cheater just like Mihir and Gautam. Karan and Gautam were also criminals. There is no denying of this fact

I think it was after Nandani file for r**e charges against Ansh.

To make the case lose from their end, Ansh wanted to have Karan and Nandani seen in some compromised position, so he had both of their drinks spiked. Nandani for some reason hands her drink to Tanya and so both end up in a room when reporters barge in and Nandani sees them together as well.

This was when legally Ansh and Nandani were still married

S2 tracks really cannot be connected with S1 because they really don't make any sense Didn't Mihir Tulsi celebrate their 38th anniversary in first epi....with that Karan should be around 36...pre leap Parth was 18...so its like Karan apparantly had Parth at 17-18...Tanya went thru teenage pregnancy and Karan became dad at 18 in S1 when karan was introduced he had completed his MBA ...May be say around 22-23 but here in S2 Tulsi always claim that she brough up and instilled sanskaar in Karan which means she wud have adopted karan way back when he was a toddler or probably Mandira died ...IDK but literally nothing makes sense here coz Tulsi recalls Mandira hugging Mihir from S1 in S2 when Noyana claims that Mihir had ONS with her...so math doesn't add up in no form...basically we shud just watch tracks without looking at logics

Mihir was disposable as he was always meant to die. She didn’t anticipate that the public reaction to his death would be so huge. No one did.

She simply capitalised on an opportunity that was gonna help her show as it certainly didn’t match her intended plan for the show but if it helps her show stay on top, why not? After all, if you make a show for your audience and you keep them happy it’s good for business.

Mihir being considered replaceable, as are Anurag and Sujal, has also gotta do with the actors in question. Ironically, all 3 male leads ended up being replaced by different actors even if the characters were retained.

You couldn’t replace Akaash as Ansh. That’s what I meant too.
