I don't buy it honestly that there's something off between them. The management can wave off the entire team if MS is not at their side. The cricket world is dying to have him part of their team, in SRK's words - I would sell even my pajama if it could get Dhoni in my team.

There’s probably no reason for such a presumption but maybe, just maybe, the management and MS aren’t on the same page? There’s no rhyme or reason but sometimes it feels that way.
But what you say is true. Also if MS is unhappy, why would he even stay? He isn’t some fledging new player looking for some fame / entry into the nationals lol. He can retire tomorrow and still will have the same fandom like he had at his prime, that much is certain. Nobody can answer these questions except for the man himself!
