In that they never say anything against India. I got to know that just like us they consider their cousins as siblings, not just Buddhist, even the Taoists have Vedic deities like Yama and Indra

I had a few Chinese friends when I studied abroad. Never found them racist. On the contrary they were quite friendly. Yes they too mostly tended to be in groups of Chinese students but then us Indians did the same. We had lots of fun together more than with our European/American batchmates (who were more reserved).

P.s. At that time i didn't know that they didn't follow any religion (communism or atheism whatever) so i was shocked when i asked them about their religion & God and they said they didn't follow any religion of God. This applies to only the ones i was having conversation with. Maybe some or many do follow some religion in China... I don't know.

Undoubtedly Pakistan have got a huge boost by becoming central in this war and India is nowhere in center now, but that's it

It isn't like India and Pakistan were competing for mediator position and Pakistan won it

Pakistanis (and some Indians) are making it more about India it seems

What makes them think that India wanted to mediate?

And whether Pakistan has got a boost or not..lets wait n watch

I meant in reality chinese, koreans are racist as F..they treat everyone inferior to them particularly based on skin color..

ok understood. in many i watch they usually mock Bangladesh and Africa (also Myanmar) as some backward countries run by mafia

In one movie they had an international delegate coming (it was about translation) from different countries where one was shown Arabic speaking and other Hindi speaking. So indirectly they showed that Hindi speaking people are important delegates for them

In another one the FL was being mocked from being from Africa, where they say that at most she can gift a Roti, to which she replies Roti is Indian so not applicable (or something) the way she said it was like making that it isn't from some backward country.

Possible they do so because they want to have larger market of India

Tell you what, before the two parties met, they were seated in two different floors and individually gave their points to Shehbaz Sharif which he personally went and told the other party. this happened 2-3 times in total. Due to secrecy this had to be done by PM himself and no officer could do.

So now think this was happening in India and Modi was supposed to do this, the same people mocking India would have being mocking that our PM is moving up and down

Still lots of disagreements, but they are continuing the talks through the night which means they want to get into a consensus

Moreover ..why should india mediate ? We maintain a neutral stance in everything, its for the best..we get the gas , baaki aisa hai .. neither usa nor Israel will listen to us , nor will iran listen to us & stop the war or continue it...

We wouldn't want any meddling in our affairs as well , so it makes complete sense we dont do it in their matter..did russia or China interfere ?

Pakistan is not playing double dholki its playing triple dholki ..ek taraf they r with usa , ek taraf their population & khwaja asif spits poison against israel..ek taraf they support Saudi ek taraf their population is enraged against the atrocities to Shia population in iran ..so unka stand is already laughable..muslim brotherhood ke naam par babaji ka thullu hai..

I want the peace talks to yield a good result but will it really happen ? Trump wants control over hormuz , he wanted opportunity to clean it n get the ships going ..may be these talks r just an eye wash..

do you all think this will change the world order?

US will not longer remain the super power.China will try to get that spot.

The US will remain as powerful as it is now but trust among its allies has declined. Many allies are distancing themselves from the US, so while it may remain the most powerful country but their allies will increasingly seek partnerships with other emerging powers instead of relying solely on the US. This suggests that a multipolar world order is emerging.

I do watch cdramas and their target audience is definitely not international viewers. Their primary focus is their local audience. Most of their major OTT platforms like Tencent is still not available in india, which shows they dont prioritize international audiences as much as kdramas do.

They make a huge amount of money within their own country. I keep track of their dramas heat index and other ratings and everything is centered around their domestic audience. They rarely take international audience preferences into account. In contrast, korea invests heavily in soft power and japan does the same through anime. (Though korea sometimes unintentionally portrays the middle east as a war zone, which often leads to backlash.)

Coming to how india is portrayed in cdramas, based on what i have watched (full length dramas not short ones), india isnt mentioned much. However, i have never seen them being disrespectful toward india or other countries. Their dramas are heavily censored, they carefully monitor what can pass censorship and many shows even get canceled if they fail to meet those standards.

I also personally feel that chinese people are generally less racist compared to koreans. Yes, the chinese govt does sponsor youtubers to present a positive image but there are also plenty of independent vlogs that give a more realistic view of everyday life. From what i have seen, they are somewhat similar to indians, extroverted but with better civic sense and they tend to treat guests with good intentions. Some travelers are even treated like celebrities with locals frequently asking to take photos with them.

Chinese govt may have its issues but the people are like people anywhere else. Personally, i feel they are more approachable compared to others in east asia. Koreans can sometimes come across as more racist, while japanese people are generally reserved and introverted. Chinese people, on the other hand, tend to be outgoing and extroverted but usually without crossing the line into rudeness.

I also feel that racism exists everywhere. Even in india, there is a lot of racism, especially toward people from poorer countries. However, i think racism in asia is nowhere near the level of racism in the West. America, in particular, takes the lead as the most racist followed by europe. Compared to that, racism in asia doesnt even stand a chance.
