It’s really frustrating to see how Chennai Super Kings is being managed these days. How long will Cement Srinivasan continue backing mediocre selections and keep the team struggling at the bottom of the table?
Where is the focus on nurturing young talent? Other teams are building for the future, giving opportunities to fresh players, while CSK seems stuck in the past. How long can they keep depending on aging players like MS Dhoni and overseas picks such as Matt Henry?
What’s even more disappointing is the consistent underperformance of the foreign players. Instead of bringing impact, they are turning out to be liabilities match after match.
CSK has always been known for its legacy and smart strategies, but right now, the team looks directionless and outdated. It’s high time they rethink their approach, invest in youth, and rebuild with a long-term vision.
CSK tends to bench youngsters and rely on “proven names” even when out of form! Over-dependence on MS Dhoni. Dhoni is no longer a full-match impact player! The team still revolves around him! Transition planning hasn’t been clear. That creates a leadership vacuum for the future. Overseas picks often feel reactive, not strategic! Lack of explosive T20 specialists compared to teams like MI, KKR, SRH is the main negative point here! Middle order inconsistency and slow scoring hurt badly in the modern IPL!!
