Madam feeling bad,….So sadsmiley19

BW enjoyed & profited a lot by showing Humanising terrorists and Terrorising humans.

Why this meltdown on showing Terrorising Terrorists?

btw Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has noted that terrorism "can never be justified, nor its perpetrators ever equated with its victims," suggesting that treating them as equal or "humanising" them in the context of their crimes is a crucial challenge to the global human rights agenda.”

Terrorism can never be justified, and victims should never be equated with perpetrators. But understanding radicalisation is not the same as justifying it. Nobody is born a terrorist. Prevention requires examining how people get there.

Religious Radicalisation often develops along a spectrum:

Note: This is meant as a self-reflection tool, not a rigid diagnostic tool, not something to label others with or apply to groups we already have prejudice against. Even a simple believer can drift toward radicalisation due to social exclusion, isolation, or exposure to extremist ideas. People can move forward or backwards along the spectrum, and not everyone progresses to violence.

As an ex-believer, realising I was in Exclusivism was one of the main reasons I quit religion.

  • Believer – Practises a religion.
  • Fundamentalism – Follows a strict and literal interpretation of religious teachings without necessarily promoting harm. Low openness.
  • Exclusivism – Our way of life is correct and better. Ingroup bias.
  • Extremism – Adopts an “us vs. them” mindset. Rejecting those who differ. Dehumanisation of others. Outgroup hostility.
  • Radicalism – Justification of Harm. Experiences isolation and reinforcement.
  • Terrorism – Engages in violence to defend or promote a belief system.

Faith ↔ Strict Belief ↔ Superiority ↔ Intolerance ↔ Justification of Harm ↔ Violence

1 & 2 are usually harmless; 3 can be a tipping point, and the real risk starts from 4 onwards, but movement along the spectrum is not inevitable.

Humanizing Terrorists? I lost my 3 friends in Hyderabad bomb blasts. There are many Indians like me who lost someone or the other in terror attacks. The terrorists maybe victims of the system but that doesn't mean they will start murdering innocent people. And then the audacity of people like her who complains that her show was criticized for humanizing terrorists. If terrorists were humans they would never kill innocents. These high society people living in AC homes, driving AC cars, have lot of security around them cant understand the pain of losing loved ones to terrorism.
