I see so many saying they lost interest in naagin7 after her entry. They ruined their ml over her as if his character wasn’t already bad enough, and she isn’t even a good actress nor is her character interesting enough to do so much damage to the show. Besides, Naagin was never about love triangles or a problematic ml. Naagin mls were green flags who loved only Naagins and even worshipped the ground they walked on. Only S1 Ritik kinda rejected Shivanya after finding out she killed his family members or was after his mom, but even that lasted briefly and he was back to loving her. Purvi and Aryaman are not even 10% of vridang. Despite the terrible writing they have great chemistry and pull the audience. It’s an insult to compare them to vridang

I watched like the first 3-4 Epi of Naagin and the Epi where radhika entered Nah this show just isn't for mesmiley36 I still see a bit of clips as I love the cast but I can't with the shape shifting and AI smiley37I agree I didn't like how they ruined Aryaman. His character had a weird graph from whatever I saw, also I won't have mind a grey Aryaman smiley17

Well what I meant is Ekta is wasting potential of AryaNta like she wasted VridAng, but acting wise AryaNta is way aheadsmiley36

Who knows what Smriti is upto

But if you wanna wind up wind up it nicely and close all tracks

I dont want another incomplete ending.

I feel 50 50 about Smriti quiting

SP has said that kyunki isn't ending

It means that Smriti will be back.I guess busy with other things.

There isn't much noise about her political career too.

Yup congress calling😂.

Smriti ko bahot yaad karrhe hai, Rahul ke chamche.

Anyways, she has much more potential than those who troll, so good if her acche din takes her to Parliament.

I don’t know the inner workings obviously so we can only speculate. She’s got a contract, so that locks her in, they’re aware without her the show doesn’t run. They tried with Gautami in S1, they gave focus to Vridang in the first few months of this season and both the times the results were obviously bad.

As far as her political career is concerned, I really don’t think we should see it as a done deal. Remember she lost her first election she fought, which was at the heights of Kyunki’s popularity and still won the next one around. She lost this and may win the next one again. I know people assume that since she’s not in office this is it - that’s why she came back to serials again but to me it was never the case. Currently she holds no portfolio in cabinet, she’s not tried to go for Rajya Sabha as that’s telling the world I am no longer cut out for Lok Sabha elections where you actually win on the ground rather than enter the parliament via a backdoor which doesn’t require you to be a politician but an expert in a field. Actors and cricketers have done that in the past, even now. Look at Jaya Bachchan. She can get a RS seat but she’s not committing political suicide by opting for it. She’s obviously attending meetings and events in her capacity as a BJP member and why are we assuming that coming back to TV is not politically motivated and connected?

She’s promoting subjects like false domestic violence cases which is in focus again via Pari Ajay. The show raised the topic of fathers only getting respect and love when they fulfil demands with Gautam, it highlighted how you can study in a regional language and yet make it to bureaucracy with Munni. She promoted government schemes for pregnant women and their kids and then displayed how we aren’t such an unimportant nation anymore when one of the most powerful and influential men on earth was a cameo on her show. From Ekta’s own movie using that poor cardboard cut out of him in Half Girlfriend to the real deal on what is considered the small screen. With Samaira we are getting the impact of the issues between parents affecting the kids to this point where they could be suicidal. With Mihir we got again the problem of women framing men with false claims, even if Noina didn’t take the legal route by filing a police complaint of any sort.

And these are just the issues at the top of my head that the show has raised so far.

We don’t know what future topics may be coming up on the show with the undisclosed but teased KN tensions. Ansh’s son coming up. With Hrithik Munni and Mittali, the issue of whether a child should be handed over to the mother just because she’s the mom will be raised which does need a discussion. Just because Timsi is a girl and she’s nearly 5 shouldn’t automatically mean her father is ineligible or the wrong sort of parent to raise her. Gender of a parent should be secondary to their ability to care and raise their child.

Entertainment industry has undergone a sea change since she was last on TV. Most movies that create a buzz these days are labelled as propaganda movies in a heartbeat even it they literally show the real events like 26/11 in Dhurandhar. I wont say that these movies are propaganda but they’re still raising awareness and getting conversations started about topics that we never saw onscreen in movies before.

We saw Bollywood basically was at its lowest before it got a course correction. Don’t you think it’s somehow an echo of what’s going on with TV? We can’t expect an immediate revival but to rework the system you need to get into the system. Shows back then were made in a different way off and onscreen; there was no OTT when Kyunki was on air initially, now you factor in that too.

Bollywood was made to reinvent itself and the process was escalated as multiplex is expensive as an experience now not to mention how the industry itself was so arrogant in their behaviour towards the movie going audience. TV actors are humble in comparison and also not in control of the scripts or plots so this is in comparison a more difficult process to do. TV is easier and cheaper to access, it’s in every home everywhere everyday and we all watch different things everywhere. TV is harder to crack. Bollywood made it easier to do the job because they’re arrogant, their links with the underworld were always known, the way they were so openly contemptuous of Hindus and our way of life, culture, traditions etc combined with their absolutely pathetic and unoriginal movies. TV is degenerate too, but in a completely different way and the cleanup process will need a very different approach.

Bold - I don’t think Smriti is behind all this. That’s the writers. I hope she isn’t. In IRL women are the one being abused, ignored and oppressed, but this show is focusing on the extreme rare cases when men may be victims. That’s messed up

Anyway, I definitely don’t think smriti is behind the tracks here. That would mean Smriti is behind all itv shows too as vamp faking things to harm has been going on in shows for decades. Showing women as the bad mothers because not giving 24/7 time or just because they are supposed to be the bad characters but showing men as the better fathers and victims despite not giving 24/7 as well. Fake domestic violence which was also recently shown in anupama too

She doesn’t have to write anything but she can provide the subjects that the tracks can be shaped around. That’s what I’m implying.

Lok sabha election are only in 2029

And there is at present very less possibilitiy of her getting a seat then but 3 years are still there n is she going to give up so much paycheck for some elusive political seat 3 years hence 🤔 so I find other highly unlikely she will quit this show In any case with these ratings there's zero chance of it ending as SP is a totally ratings driven channel
