Two years, countless emotions
Rohit Armaan Purohit

Two years of Rohit Purohit as Armaan have been a remarkable showcase of emotional depth and artistic versatility. He has navigated an extraordinary spectrum of feelings—portraying trauma with haunting realism, love with quiet sincerity, pain with raw vulnerability, and parenthood with a deeply moving sense of responsibility and protectiveness. Each phase of his journey has felt distinct, yet seamlessly connected, reflecting an actor who understands the emotional core of his character.
What truly sets Rohit apart is his versatility. He transitions effortlessly from intense, emotionally charged breakdowns to tender, heartwarming moments, from restrained internal conflict to fierce determination. Whether it is the silent turmoil of grief, the warmth of romantic love, the desperation of a father trying to protect his child, or the moral dilemmas that test his character, he brings authenticity and nuance to every frame. His ability to communicate so much through subtle expressions—fleeting glances, trembling pauses, controlled breaths—adds layers of realism that make Armaan’s journey deeply relatable.
Over these two years, Rohit hasn’t just delivered performances; he has continuously evolved, adapting to changing storylines and emotional arcs with impressive range and consistency. His portrayal reflects strength and fragility in equal measure, proving his capability to handle complex narratives with sensitivity and conviction. A journey defined by growth, dedication, and versatility—two years that have left an indelible mark on the hearts of viewers. 🌟👏

Rohit Purohit as Armaan completes 2 years in the show today. Armaan Poddar as been one of the most complex characters I have watched on ITV and the main reason for this connect is due to Rohit Purohit.
When he came on my scree 2 years back, honestly he did not really impressed me much. I wasn't a fan and just chose to ignore him and watch the show for the remaining cast. Apparently I wasn't the only one. As Rohit once said, his own director felt ki Armaan main woh hero wali baat nahi aa rahi hai.
And then something suddenly just clicked. Armaan went from a cookie cutter, agyakaari, golden boy, to this layered, complex, lovable, romantic and nuanced character that had so many shades to explore.
We saw him portray so many different facets of his character's life. From being a no nonsense lawyer and obedient son, then a playful and goofy boyfriend, we all fell in love with Majnumaan. Then came Armaan the husband - a loving and caring one who adored his wife, supported her at every juncture and cared for her so much that he would carry her allergy medicines in his pouch even when they were seperated. Rohit always made you feel his scenes so much when you saw him care so deeply fornhis onscreen wife.
We saw Armaan as a son finally find his birth mother and watch him realise what it meant to be loved unconditionally while feeling every bit of his pain as he chose to emancipate from the family that betrayed him. Those scenes where Rohit potrayed a lost child who finally found his mother who he assumed was dead for so long & realised that all of it was orchestrated by his own grandmother, were one of the best scenes of the show.
Rohit shines the most when he has to showcase emotional scenes & that was most visible when he lost the 2 people in his life that he loved the most & remembers to this day. That grief and survivor guilt ate at him, which we would see reflected in Rohit's beautiful eyes.
Then we finally got to watch Rohit as a father to a little girl. Armaan was always meant to be a girl dad and watching him with Maira only reinforced it. Their scenes as the billiy family always felt wholesome and beautiful, all thanks to the chemistry Rohit had with Sam and Urva. Their offscreen bonding reflected on screen where Rohit and Urva would look like true parent and child with their onscreen interactions and easy chemistry.
Finally post the recent leap, we got to see a while different side of Rohit as Armaan. The angry succesful man who could only be placated by his daughter and used all his pent up emotions to succeed and become a formidable force in the industry. The suave CEO look and demenour was a completely different version of the Armaan we had been seeing all this time, but a wonderful one potrayed by Rohit nonetheless.
Like Rohit once said, his journey as Armaan has been from "hero wali baat nahi hai" to "mere hero ko kisi ki Nazar na Lage" 🧿🧿 - For a lot of us as well, he has become our hero onscreen and off & truly usse kisi ki Nazar na Lage - Thu Thu Thu

Two years. And a journey that didn’t just unfold… it consumed.
From the moment Rohit Purohit stepped in as Armaan , he carried not just a character—but expectations, comparisons, and the weight of stepping into already-loved shoes. And yet, he didn’t try to replace… he transformed.... He made Armaan so uniquely his that today, it’s impossible to imagine anyone else in that space....
There was a quiet storm in his performance—never loud, never forced, but always felt. And nowhere was this more evident than in his breakdowns.
They weren’t just scenes… they were experiences....The way his voice trembled yet held back, the way his eyes filled but refused to let go, the way he shattered in silence—it didn’t feel like acting, it felt like watching someone fall apart in real time... Raw, restrained, and hauntingly real...
And then there was his love.
Armaan’s love wasn’t easy, wasn’t loud, and definitely wasn’t perfect—but it was endless. It lived in his sacrifices, in his patience, in the way he chose to stay even when it hurt him the most. Rohit made that love feel so pure, so unwavering, that even in heartbreak, you could see how deeply it ran. His love wasn’t about possession… it was about devotion, even if it meant breaking himself in the process.
What makes Rohit’s portrayal unforgettable is how he balanced it all—the strength and the vulnerability, the love and the pain, the silence and the storm within. He didn’t just show Armaan’s journey… he made us feel every crack, every conflict, every unspoken word.
Over these two years, Armaan became more than a character. He became a feeling that lingers, a story that stays, and a pain that doesn’t quite leave.
Here’s to an actor who didn’t just step into a role, but owned it with grace, depth, and honesty....
Happy 2 years, Rohit. ❤️
You didn’t just become Armaan… you made him unforgettable...

Two years, one character, and countless emotions… Rohit as Armaan in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been nothing short of remarkable. ✨
It’s not just his screen presence, but the sincerity he brings that makes Armaan so real. Whether he’s navigating his professional world as a lawyer and businessman or showing up for his family as a son, grandson, husband, and father, Rohit captures every side of him effortlessly. There’s an undeniable aura about him… one that commands attention the moment he appears on screen, drawing every eye to him...
Armaan’s journey has been layered with highs and lows, an emotional roller coaster that Rohit has carried with remarkable ease. From love and vulnerability to conflict and heartbreak, he brings every emotion to life. And while he portrays Armaan with strength and composure, he just as seamlessly brings out his most raw and vulnerable side.
And within all this intensity, he adds a refreshing lightness to the character—his comic timing and subtle humor adding an effortless charm. At the same time, he beautifully brings out Armaan’s romantic side, with soft expressions and that signature intense gaze 👀 …
What stands out the most is his ability to say everything without saying much at all… his eyes alone conveying anger, pain, longing, and love.
In these two years, Rohit has shaped Armaan into someone deeply human and unforgettable—someone you root for, feel for, and celebrate.
Here’s to the milestones, the magic, and the brilliance he continues to bring to the screen. 🥂✨
Happy 2 years, Rohit 🤍❤️
Many congratulations to Rohit Purohit on completing two years as Armaan …he came into the show under circumstances that were not the best ..pretty much airdropped into a world that was alien to him and a character that had been inhabited by another actor…he had to hit the ground running with no time for preparation or reading sessions …kudos to his professionalism and craft that ensured an absolutely seamless transition …many memorable moments and scenes have followed since …his commitment and sincerity have ensured that his character has risen above the flawed writing that has sacrificed him at the altar of expedience every time they had to reset …
Many congratulations to Rohit on achieving this milestone despite all the odds and managing to turn obstacles into opportunities to shine brighter as an actor ..hope he scales even greater heights in his career going forward !
