Episode update
I am going to call it odd days (When DK shows some feelings for Mannat) and even days (when DK shows emotions for Dua)
Aaj even day tha... and what a day it was... I watched the episode twice just for DK.
If people can get over the bias for DK and look at the episode objectively... it was a fantastically written content.
Try looking at DK simply as Duas father and not with pre leap prejudices.
DK remarks that Yuvi is troubling Dua since day 1 and today his actions could have cost Dua her life. Vish argues and DK blames Vish that its not Yuvis fault but of the people who are encouraging him.
Mannat tries to support Vik by asking DK to forgive Yuvi and let it be since he has understood he went wrong.
But DK is in no mood to listen. He argues that there are people who hide the mistakes of their loved ones but questions the other person for the same mistake. Vik agrees to this and DK points out he has too because DK wont allow Vik to let this go away easily this time.
DK tells Vik that we can see the blind love you have for Yuvi. Hence you excuse his behaviour. But what about insaaf today?
DK makes a point to raise barbeque blast and how Yuvi didnt get any punishment for it.
Vik agrees with DK he wouldnt have forgiven if Dua had done this to Yuvi. DK rightly points out that you would have questioned our/DMs upbringing.
Insaaf ka natak dusro ke liye.. apne liye nahi?
Mannat tries to pacify... DK is indirectly blames her as well that he is saying this for Duas wellbeing. Also says Yuvi needs to be punished, what if he does something like this again???
It felt like lot of statements had an undertone of what happened in the past 7 years.
Mannat is taken aback and stays silent as DK doesnt want to listen to her as well.
Vik decides to send Yuvi to boarding school as punishment. Yuvi protests but Vik doesnt budge.
Vik accepts that he messed up with Yuvis upbringing in front of everyone. And he tells Yuvi the decision is for his own betterment.
Vamps are shocked. Aish rejoices that the matter got diverted successfully.
In a parallel scene Mannat consoles DK and Vik argues with Vish.
DK thinks Vik is pretending to help Dua because he wants to protect his loved ones. DK says that indirectly is it Vik who is responsible because eventually it is his trust on the wrong people that has harmed Dua.
From Mannats words its clear that this is probably the first time DK has had an outburst like this. All these years, he was hiding his emotions but the moment Dua got hurt, his emotional outburst happened. She asks him to express everything and thanks him for all his support. That Dua and she are lucky they got his saath. DK replies I am lucky too and he feels better after releasing what was in his mind.
To pacify the audience on both sides... Vik makes a statement that gives a gist of what he feels.
Vik tells Vish that I am embarrassed to look DK into his eyes even though that brother has spoiled my life. But I am feeling ashamed because DK is actually right this time... Yuvis actions have made me feel this. We messed up with Yuvis upbringing. He praises Dua which irks Vish.
Vish still tries to blame Dua to which Vik retorts that she is your grand daughter as well... be little respectful. (I loved this part... when truth comes out that Vish knew all along, Vik should recall how pretentious Vish was
).
Vik appreciates DMs upbringing and how they have made Dua into a sensible child. Repeats I will send Yuvi to boarding school for his better future.
Yuvi overhears this and decides to run away.
Mannat spots Yuvi and stops him from leaving.
Takes him to his room, consoles him and asks him more questions. Yuvi says nobody trusts me but I did wanted to save Dua. I went back but someone pushed me. Mannat says she trusts him. Yuvi then shows her his injury. Mannat realises it could be Aish.
And tells Yuvi that we will find 'saboot' of who pushed you, then your buddy wont send you to boarding school. Yuvi agrees.
2-3 hugs between Mannat and Yuvi. The motherly bond is so obvious.
Precap is same as promo minus Dr. AT.
----
DKs outburst felt like pent up frustration of his.
He is no way blaming Yuvi neither Vik. It looked like he suspects Vish and Malla. But he feels because of Viks lenient nature and the intense deep bond he shares with Yuvi, Vik ignores Yuvis faults.
DK is not blaming Vik per se... but the feeling that Vik trusted a wrong person/Vish pre leap is making everyone suffer is very subtly hinted.
Had it not been DKs outburst... Vik might have possibly let bygone be bygones... since Mannat herself was in no mood to punish Yuvi or pursue the matter.
Like I always say... DKs actions actually end up bringing ManVik closer
. This time, Yuvi will start bonding with Mannat and will be in her team.
Vik ka redemption is in full steam... he not only accepted his role in Yuvi's behaviour, he has also accepted that he would have indeed blamed DM had Dua done this. Its a sly acknowledgment of what he did do to Mannat during the Indore incident when the kids fought was wrong.
Also Dua is now his family. Vik has wholly accepted her.
Mannat is going to have a tough time balancing Kumar brothers. Its obvious her emotional connection lies with Vik and she doesnt wants to hurt him.. so by extension Mannat is soft to Yuvi as well... but she also understands where DK is coming from and this might possibly guilt trip her in future.
Overall a good episode balancing out the dynamics of DK Mannat and Vik equation.
