I can’t decide if they’re rushing through the episodes because IPL is coming up or because they are going to end the show in a month or two or because Smriti’s going to be disappearing for campaigning and maybe more we don’t know about.

I don't like an ending like Divya bharti movie, where the female lead herself asks her husband to tie mangalsutra to DB before her last breath, just bcoz DB loved(one sided) her husband. However DB was a positive character in the movie, who silently supported his growth and never interfered in his life.

@bold - They would have never gone for this. Such characters who are shown foreign returned with accents are either relegated to extras, comic reliefs or the evil villains in most of our shows given our colonial past. It would hardly make sense for them to go to this route with their very Indic rooted protagonist of all the people.

Remember even literal British born Katrina Kaif has to be shown as being proud of her Indian roots and connections in a movie to work where she plays an NRI who starts off by mocking our culture and country. Namaste London is a prime example. Even Bollywood for all their propaganda knows what can work and what’s a sure shot way to sink a ship.

Then take into account that Tulsi is literally played by Smriti Irani - a former cabinet minister from the BJP - a party that is getting rid of colonial relics and impositions on our country that are being still carried around like a bad hangover that refuses to go away. She would have been unwilling to show that in order to show Tulsi as successful or like a phoenix rising from the ashes of her past she has to undergo a change. Not only does it kill the legacy of her character but it also destroys her political career for good especially at a time when our country is actually proud of its identity in a way it’s not been in a very long time.

Atlst tulsi isn't gawar like anupama. She's calm sorted direct. When she speaks English there is no extra gujju mumbai accent. Her gujrati and marathi is natural. I can identify that tulsi feels like xyz person I know irl

Foreign returned don't have to be exaggerated. More polished, more direct, more knowledgeable. Eg maybe there can be one scene where tulsi starts speaking in that British English or Spanish. That would impress mihir so much and make noyona insecure. Maybe tulsi learns how to read account sheet. How to use computer better than ritik Gautam etc. Small small things

And yes these things can be done by staying in India too. I mainly wanted her with KN to bond with those twins more and we all know they would have kept tulsi really happy. And by this I think gautam feelings insecure would be more impactful. That his mother stayed with the sautela beta and didn't even tell him would be good source of more taunts

He was excellent in Tumhaari Paakhi as Anshuman with Shraddha. The scene where he has a meltdown because he finally manages to drive Paakhi away, something that he had been meaning to do ever since he set out to get her home… it’s one of the best pieces of acting by an actor on ITV.
