I have a question. Is it right for mannat to call dua hamari Beti when DK is the legal adoptive father?! May be she is saying it emotionally but DK is Dua’s father on paper. I know itv doesn’t follow legalities but is it true that you can be legal parents without marriage in place? Tomorrow even if mannat and vik patch up, dua has to be shared with DK right unless he gives up the custody? #justasking

🤣 I’m sure DK’s name on the BC is falsification of a legal document rather than having any legal status , so doesn’t make him the adoptive father . If he knowingly allowed his name on the BC, he could be prosecuted, if I’m not mistaken so he would have to fight for rights to Dua in court. Vik , as the biological father who was not aware of the pregnancy has paternal rights. a birth certificate is not in place of legal adoption, even in itv

And not sure in India, but in other countries I don’t see why two unmarried partners can’t legally adopt a child.

ML is the dad. So if Mannat and Vikrant patch-up, the point that DK is the father on paper will be forgotten. Unless DK turns bad and wants to take revenge.

But, no one cares about the papers. The one who knocks up the female lead is the father.
