I love the title track too!
They had so much mutual respect for each other. It was one of the good shows that aired on SP.
I think we can clearly see how ITV has downgraded. There was a time when Arijit Singh used to sing OSTs. There used to be aesthetics and so much that was pleasing to the eye. People actually discussed camera angles, set design, and other creative aspects.
Now, people are lamenting the lack of storylines and how each show begins with a promising premise but eventually derails into the same old nonsense.
@bold: Ahh, beauty before everything. Does he look good? Then we can go ahead and forgive all his transgressions, even when they’re bad—to the point of being vile. He behaves like a decent human being once in a while, and suddenly he becomes the “greatest husband of the year”.
I can understand if they can’t afford Arijit anymore but there are no original songs now on shows. They simply use movie songs.
DABH had strong character actors too and the ensemble was great. You could dislike Bhabho or love her as a character, but you couldn’t deny she’s a fabulous actress.
The show also beautifully addressed without being in your face about it how ego can destroy a relationship, but if you don’t allow it to thrive at all, just have mutual respect and clear understanding, love can bloom in the most unlikely places. I daresay Sandhya was disappointed with Suraj as a husband when she found out he wasn’t educated and owned a small sweets shop, she had more expectations and dreams about the kind of husband she wanted. But you see why when she does fall in love with him so deeply it’s not her settling for him as she’s trying to be a good Indian woman who respects marriage as an institution and is trying to be faithful to her vows but she’s truly being just a woman who felt seen, respected, honoured and cherished by a man who just so happens to be her husband before he became the man she loves.
