I understand, but since Smriti is charging high, they're balancing their budget with others, and Barkha is accepted by the trp audience, thus maximizing her experience and screen focus as much as they can.

I personally think Saloni got more going on for her than Vaishnavi has though she appeared later and has had limited scenes in comparison so far.

We already know she’s a family oriented girl who wants a similar husband who works hard for his family’s business too. We know she’s interested in pursuing a career as well and would love working alongside her husband if it’s possible. We know she’s traditional, has been sheltered and naive. We know Dev secretly contempts her village girl persona and thinks he can mooch and live comfortably off of her family by transforming her post marriage. Poor girl is being fooled.

We even have met her family members briefly and know she’s the sort who can get along well in the family, huge as it is, as she’s a very well raised girl who has been rooted traditionally. She’s also not slow, she caught onto Dev’s slip about the factory numbers immediately but she is naive and too trusting, unaware that bad apples can exist anywhere, even masked as good ones.

Compare that with Vaishnavi what do we know and see? She’s a designer who works with Tulsi, thinks Parth is a pervert, is slow and takes forever to put the obvious together. Has a limited vocabulary with Kaki being her most used word.

So the choice is obvious. Either way Parth gets a wife from Gujarat and not just a Gujarati bride

I think Parth will end up with Saloni even if he happens to fall in love with Vaishnavi. The drama must go on after all and Dev is unreliable. He might pull off an Angad and do a runner on D Day for some stupid reason. Parth might have started something with Vaishnavi but ends up marrying Saloni.

The pattern is evident. Dev brags he does the work, Parth actually does it.

For Vaishnavi, either Krushal Ahuja, previously famous as Ani in Jhanak, or Bharat Ahlawat would've been a well-thought-out selection as Parth, since Vaishnavi girl was already paired with him in a previous Balaji show.

The pairing can work even if actors change. Like Jenny has famously worked with multiple male actors opposite her. As have so many others. The problem is that their scenes are one tone and the girl is also not shown as evolving beyond Kaki Kaki Kaki, Parth is a pervert and frankly, there’s no substance to her as a character.

Tulsi said these girls are all forged in hardships and have their own difficulties they’ve faced and lived through. We have more idea of one of her friends Aarti than about her and can understand how for a small town girl calling off a marriage at the last minute in the mandap is a big deal. Why she would rather stay in Mumbai for a while as it’s easier here than it would have been in her small village back home in the aftermath of that incident.

What do we have about Vaishnavi as a character that makes me think I am invested in her and would love to know her more.

Parth might be the most eligible bachelor of his generation of the Viranis until we see what Nakul and Mayank are like. If there are any other cousins his age that are around like Shobha’s son, and the sons of the other numerous cousins and probably Harsh’s son (if he has one). So far only Nakul and Mayank are named candidates amongst the cousins who haven’t popped up. In comparison to Dev, Parth wins hands down any day.

Technically, Akshay is a cousin too but he might compete with Parth’s children not Parth himself
