Adultery isn't even a crime, but forceful confinement is and this is what she was doing... Tying a person to stop him from going away.. Who was she to stop anyone

I think the problem was more about writing than actors. I hated saanjh. Never disliked a female character like her. I thought I would never be able to see that actress again as I thought her face would always remind me of saanjh and the actress was immature too. She would only bash Maya and Maya fans in her interviews, but she was given a really well character in silsila. I loved her there. So I forgive her for her offscreen immaturity as she was very young then.

I think her and Arjun’s characters were intentionally written that way in Beyhadh. Vandana’s character too. So audience hate them. Else they would’ve written Beyhadh2 ml and third wheel like that too. But Beyhadh2 ml and third wheel were both decent and good people. So people didn’t feel that irritation and hatred towards them. I know Beyhadh had two PHs. They split and one of them made Beyhadh2. So I don’t know if the writers changed or what, but Beyhadh2’s characters were much better. You didn’t feel like pulling your hair when watching them 😭 But Beyhadh2 Maya wasn’t written that well to connect with audience like Maya of Beyhadh. Also Beyhadh2 wasn’t as well made like Beyhadh, so it wasn’t as successful

didnt know that about aneri, sanjh actress. yeah she was in silsila and teja too bt didnt feel like watching that show. aditi season had good closure it was unnecessary

see i dont remember beyhadh much bt what i can remember that arjun maya were engaged married as arjun fell for her quickly. maya already had unstable parents. sanjh loved arjun bt kept distance bt maya knew and felt insecure. arjun's mother never warmed upto maya

and thats how the entire drama started. so was arjun's mother right or she felt it will go wrong so it did?

and many times maya did wrong and audience loved her. there is where the actor comes into picture. if people were irritated that sanjh being bestie of arjun used to chipko with him so much, why people werent as angry at maya for essentially trapping arjun at home and killing his mother?

His mother had actually tried kiIIing Maya earlier so people were fine with Maya attacking her

But later Maya was having shown murdering another girl just to trap Arjun.And this was all planned by her when Arjun and his mother had accepted her asking her to welcomed while heartedly once she is back from the asylum

Yet somehow people felt that was understandable

i think the show was very clear that maya's mental illness made things worse, also small and big things trigger her to even bigger mistakes

its the actors capacity that maya was sympathized more. and i have always felt sanjh actor wasnt good at all, and ofcrs kushal sucks. maybe someone as capable as maya, their character could hv gotten audience sympathy too

Not much into actor criticism since it’s subjective but Jenny really did a good job as Maya. Fresh faced, beautiful Kusum as mentally ill Maya ? I don’t think anyone could have imagined it.
