Well did what he felt regarding his career if the news is true, many actors don't want to play parent on screen. I'm even surprise Sam is with this 8 years playing mother to teenagers. I wonder if the role would be recast, wonder will Sharon still be in rishta

Sam seems to be a lot more connected to the show than we credit her . I saw one of her interviews where she was saying that she wants to be the part of the show until shahi or team decides for next gen or ends her role.

But ideally I don't see this a problem, every actor should take playing parents convincingly as a challenge . We saw people like hina and ankita playing mothers so well in their late twenties and early thirties and ig sam is 30 so no problem as such. Plus we are forgetting that in today's time itv is very risky so it's better for her to stick to the show that pays her well.

But as an audience definitely I am wanting gen 5 to come or the show to end as dkp has totally failed to maintain the charm character wise and even story wise so all the characters seems to lack soul .

I agree and I respect actors who don't mind playing parents on screen. As actor you're not just portraying role but making it believable for the audience so connection with role and fans is essential. Love that Ankita play mother in her 20's even a grandmother that she had a double role. True about the state of itv, there is no stability

In regards to Gen 5, only RS and Star Plus know when the new gen will start or if there will even be one

I want rishta to end! Gen5 will be more dangerous than gen 4, won’t be surprised if best writing team will pull off leads becoming murderers…not good for health!
