Akshara’s father owned multiple 5-star hotels, and Akshara obviously inherited that wealth.
She also worked in a diamond business with Naitik — because why stop at hotels when you can add diamonds?
Then comes Naira: a marketing executive who again inherited money from Manish Goenka’s company, which was apparently richer than both the Maheshwaris and the Singhanias combined. Basically, money everywhere.
Next is Akshu. She had a pickle business (let’s not reopen that badkismat chapter), then upgraded to a hostel → hotel → some mysterious establishment that changed genres every few episodes.
Did she sell it? Donate it? Forget it existed?
Because she definitely never handed it to Abhira.
And finally, Abhira — a lawyer, determined to fulfill her mother’s dreams… and now she’s a mechanic.
Not struggling rich.
Not secretly wealthy.
Just… broke.
So my genuine question is:
Where is all the money inherited by every female lead going?
Because across four generations, we’ve had:
- Hotel empires
- Diamond businesses
- Corporate inheritances
- Successful women entrepreneurs
…and yet the latest lead can’t even inherit a bank account, let alone generational wealth.
At this point, Yeh Rishta doesn’t need a family tree it needs a financial audit. 💸😭
