I am irked by AI taking over creativity.
Every single Star show begins with AI promos now. It's so irritating.
They find it cheaper and hence will compromise with quality. But when they suffer losses, as they are bound to suffer owing to the pathetic quality, they’ll either double down to force it down the throats of viewers, increase their budgets perhaps by a fraction or will finally get the lesson that even Bollywood did with Adipurush and other ventures.
But the ultimate blow perhaps will only be delivered 2 or so years later when Varanasi releases. Rajamouli has already proven what budget can do when well utilised and given time with the vision and hard work of talent.
In a way, Dhurandhar has already started doing that when it has crossed the profit margins of its making 3 times over already with just the first movie. The second one will bring in bonuses that are sweeter than nectar for everyone involved simply because Dhar put everything he got to good use be it in terms of actors, scriptwriters, research, music and choreography. No department is lacking. Do you know that the town of Lyari depicted in the movie was built entirely in Thailand on a massive 10 acres set? Dhar could have used green screen but he knew that the real deal would always be supreme and it shows how he was right.
AI is important and will be a big part of our lives going forward but there are still so many things that it will never deliver in the way actual humans can and will. Maybe in the future, but that future still seems a long way off from where we are here.
If people involved in these industries want to survive that long they will adapt back to humans as a necessity if nothing else.
