karan loves nandini only . He never wanted to marry tanya tulsi made him say yes to marriage she told him bhoomi needs a mom she is attached to tanya what will you say to nandini when she recovers from coma that you couldn't take care of bhoomi , because nandini wanted to abort that child at the risk of her life but karan stopped her and promised her that he will give his name and love to her child then nandini kept that child. But unfortunately while giving birth to bhoomi nandini slept into coma and karan became lifeless , he doesn’t want to see bhoomi because he thought she is responsible of nandini's condition. Tanya is the first one who held bhoomi in her hands. No one forced tanya she herself took bhoomi's responsibility so just because of that daimini, baa and ganga pushed karan to het marry with tanya but karan refused to do it. Till 3 years karan didn't have any relationship with tanya until tulsi gave him bhashan to consider tanya as his wife, give her rights as his wife and accept it nandini will never come out from coma .Also doctors declared nandini as same as dead then karan consummated his marriage with tanya. karan did start to develop feelings for tanya but , that was a time being infatuation, which is why it faded . Karan had similar feelings for Damini too, but after seeing daimini happy with gautam karan moved on and forgot daimini . However he never forget nandini .Karan’s love for Nandini was deep which is why it has always remained. Nandini married ansh , being raped, carrying ansh's child, slept into coma for 3 years , went to jail for 14 years , she disappeared for 6 six years because she went back to sn after completing her sentence but when she saw tanya and bhoomi together nandini backed out despite knowing karan loves her nandini only . Given his downfall he certainly doesn’t seem like he was capable, more like he had capable handlers who have no use for him now, especially when the guy who replaced him wasn’t even his primary opponent. Heck he wasn’t even a political figure. He has been parachuted in out of nowhere.
He led a minority government for 6 years. And will remain a very influential And well known PM. He had a series of very successful policies including 10$/day childcare.
He inherited a 3rd placed Party and it's been in government since 2015, winning 4 elections back to back.
The man who replaced Trudeau is Mark Carney, the most capable man to lead the country. He entered politics at this difficult time when Canada faces direct threats from the US.

If they had to bring Parth it was better to focus on him and other children of Gautam/Shobha. Bhoomi was better than Pari and for that role
Having children of Kesar take center stage makes no sense
you mentioned that tanya lived in sn as karan's wife , so i wanted to clarify that she lived only as a mother during those 20 years , not as a wife . Secondly karan didn't spend any time raising the children , he was always lost in nandini's memories or busy with his business. We weren’t discussing Tanya as a character and how she was. We were discussing the fact that Karan and Tanya had stayed together to raise children and that Manthan was born while they had been together in S1. How they got together despite Nandini being out of coma was being discussed.
I had no reason to get into every single detail for a conversation that had nothing to do with the analysis of the triangle and their messed up relationships when the basic plot points were being discussed.

I can understand asking Mihir Tulsi to be the primary guardians for even those 3 if Kesar Anupam kicked the bucket given that the oldest and Karan had a 7/8 year age difference at most. Karan could certainly be a trustee when it came to their inheritance but he couldn’t be a parental figure. Those girls would have been around Mihir Tulsi all their lives, even before they met Karan, so it made sense why they would be named and asked to be guardians.
But they made these 3 pop out of nowhere and then had this weird age difference between them and Tulsi’s own kids. Karan was still at least 14 years older than his youngest cousin Aparna. Any child of his would have been younger than Aparna, by at least 16 years or so, as Karan had yet to meet Nandini let alone marry her and later father a child. Nandini didn’t appear until much later, when Mandira was exposed in front of Karan and later presumed dead.
Prior to all of this, Karan had to expose Mihir and get himself accepted all of which didn’t happen in one week.
