Okay....So It turned into less of a game show and more of a scripted emotional journey....
So Since you’ve seen both sides of him .. the pure strategist in Lock Up and the heavily-controlled version in BB ..I’m curious to know "Do you think Munawar would’ve actually done better this season if the makers had allowed him to stick to strategy from the start, or would that have made him “too strong” and less interesting for TV?"
And also another thing...
Since the makers clearly shaped his entire graph - from discouraging strategy to bringing in the ex - do you feel Munawar ever had real agency in his BB journey, or was he just adapting to whatever storyline they pushed?
Sorry if I am troubling you with questions...😭😭...I am just a curious person 🥹🥹😭
No no its totally ok and I’m happy to explain. Gives me to write my beloved essays lol
Firstly whether anyone feels munawar would have done better if he would have been allowed to play like he did in lockup or not depends on their preferences. I obviously always prefer strategic players and sometimes kaleshi than emotional ones or ideal ache adarsh sanskari folks as i feel its all too melodramatic and if i wanted to watch such stuff i would rather watch a daily soap but thats just me.
But i will say given how much he got viral in lockup i do feel had he played like that he would have been liked more by the bb audience (not speaking about his cult fanbase who would have voted for him no matter what and he could have just slept all the time the finale and still won lol
Maybe the makers thought he’d already done that in lockup and wanted a new storyline for him this time but the storyline they came up for him was very mediocre and it made the season suffer
And as for agency no matter the player they always have enough agency to play how they want but makers also have the agency to compel them to play the way they want by bashings on wkv and if still not working just editing out their scenes, ignoring them, reducing their hype to an all time and if its still not enough to evict them via votes they can always pull a mridhul.
So technically agency hoti hai to an extent but in the end u do have to follow roles set by makers and very rarely does someone force themselves to the finale with their own agency like asim in bb 13 imo
And in munawar’s case he’s very shrewd and he knows the channel’s giving him a platform to promote himself and win and he will work with them again toh be professional and cooperate with them lol
