Part 3

The whole family members were having their breakfast when out of the blue Gayetri brought up Yash going away for the business of the year award trip, he has been nominated for the best business award. " Yash I think you should take Aarti along with you. " she said.

Maya frowned " Why. Its not has if she would be some help. It should have been Arpita who should have company Yash to Mumbai. " Maya glared at Aarti.

" Well she's death. " Gayetri snapped. " Maya do you expect her her spirit to company Yash to Mumbai. " Gayetri frowned looking at her sister in law. " You want someone at the award to ask Yash who came to support him. What will be Yash reply. I left my second wife home because my aunt didn't want me to bring her along. She wanted me to take my first wife with me. So I brought bhootu my death wife with me to give me moral support you know. " She added and everyone stared at her gaping while Aarti ate her food and Malhar Maya's younger son laughed.

Maya opened her mouth but closed it as she was too shock to even form a sentence. " Mom she's pregnant. " Yash said as he stared at Aarti who didn't care about what was happening around her other than eating her food. " So your point is what. Yes shes pregnant not suffering from a long tern illness.

" I don't think it's good for her to travel has she's pregnant. " he said . No its okay. I have asked her Doctor she said its save for her to travel has she's only 4 months pregnant, she's out off her first trimester so there is no danger. " Gayetri said.

" But " he said softly and she ignored him. " Yash its settled you are taking her with you. " Gayetri glared at him.

" Okay fine she will come along with me. " he said as he continued eating his breakfast. Gayetri called out to Tania who was heading to the kitchen. " Tania go and pack Yash and Aarti things Tania. " Gayetri smiled " Yes ma'am. " Tania said as she went straight to AarYa's bedroom. Aarti had finished her food followed her upstairs.

She stopped Tania from packing hers and Yash luggage. She decided pack it herself, as it wouldn't have been right for Tania to pack hers and yash's underwear's. When Yash walked in after finishing his breakfast. He stared at her for a long time.

" Yashji do you need anything. " she asked " No don't forget to pack your medication. " He said

" I already did. " She said. " Good be ready by 10 am we leave half past 10 tomorrow morning. " He stared at her.

'' Okay any thing else. " she asked as she noticed him just standing there and keep on staring at her. " No thats all. " He quickly walked towards the bathroom.

" I know mom is doing this on purpose. So that I can give Arpita's place to Aarti. I will never give Arpita's place to Aarti no matter how attracted I am to her " thought Yash.

" Yashji are you okay you have been there for ages. " She asked worried. " Yes. Why are you asking Aarti. " He asked.

" You have been in there for ages. " Aarti frowned. '' I want to use the bathroom. " 2 minutes " he said. " What where you doing in there swimming chi I nearly peed myself. " Aarti walked in the bathroom.

" No wonder mom loves her they're both drama queen. " he shook his head. The next day AarYa got ready and went to Mumbai for Yash's business award has he was nominated for the best young businessman. They arrived at noon in their hotel.

" Gosh why is my mother trying to provoke me. It like she knows how I want to pull Aarti towards me and throw he on the bed so I can ravish her to my heart constant. " he thought.

" Yashji are you okay. " Aarti watched Yash closely. " Yeah am fine Aarti " he said.

" If you say so because you been acting weird since yesterday. " she said has she watched him rushed into the bathroom. He rushed into the bathroom so he could have a cold shower. To make his craving for Aarti sleep. " If you have to go you have to go there is no stopping that even I ran into the bathroom to pee. " She shrugged.

The next day, AarYa got ready and went to the awards and obvious Yash won the best youngest businessman Award. Aarti was proud of him while other women wished that Yash was their husband. After the award ceremony. The was a party in honour for those who won. Yash was busy talking to his old friends from collage in Mexico and he lost Aarti in the crowded party.

" See you around guys I have go and look for my wife. " he said as he scanned around the crowded party room.

" Wife!!! " His friends asked. " Yeah Aarti. " He smiled. " Why didn't you introduce us to her. Am dying to know who tamed the wild beast Yash. Wait I thought you were marred to Arpita. " One of his friends asked.

" Yes I was she passed away a month ago this is my second marriage. " He said.

" Oh sorry man. And you got married A month ago so fast. '' Troy asked. " Yeah a month ago. I know it's was fast but I made a promise to Aman that I will marry his pregnant wife. " He said.

'' Oh so your marriage is convenient. This is her second marriage too."

" Yeah Arpita was drunk when she crushed into Aman's car. " Yash said.

" So she's a charity case because your wife killed her husband. " Troy asked again. " What does this second your wife looks like. " Tony asked.

" No she's not a charity case. Aarti and Aman were my best friends. She a little dark but also she's fair. The is no woman in this world could match her beauty. Aarti is a true Devine goddess. " He smiled. " Oh it seem like you are smitten by your second wife " said his friend Travis said and Yash glared at him.

" Wait a minute she's the same Aarti you ravished on the night before your wedding. Isn't she the one. " Damon asked another friend of Yash.

" Yash shut his eyes for a brief moment before opening them again. Yes it's her but it's in the past. " He said as glimpse from that faithful night resurfaced to his mind and night that Aman and Arpita died.

" And you slept with her again when Wife Arpita was out of Town. " Troy asked after he listened to what Yash said.

" Yes before Arpita and her husband pass on. Enough about that. She's wearing a golden saree. "

" You mean the pregnant one. You did mention that Aman asked you to marry his pregnant wife before he died. " Tony said and Yash nod. " Dude did you just leave her by herself. Dude how can you live a beautiful woman like her alone. Didn't you see all the man young and old in this lame party were looking at her, looking is not even the right word to describe how they were looking at your wife. They were eye raping her man. Maybe one of them took her away from here I can't spot her. " Damon said.

" Wait. What!!! " Yash yelled. " Hahaha Am just joking man relax she went to the hotel garden a little ago. " he said.
" Are you also one of those man who were raping her. " Yash frowned at his friends.

" Technically yes she's glowing man. What too do man when I see something that I like at the window of the store I keep staring at it until I decide to get it for myself. " Damon said and Yash glare at him.

" Hey you don't have give that look that day I will kill you go and look for your wife. " Damon laughed.

" Thanks man. " Yash went to the garden to look for Aarti. When he got there he was dumbfounded at what he witness. Yash listened to his wife and Former parents in law conversation.

" What going on here " asked Satyendra Arpita's father. " Nothing ji replied Shoba Arpita's mother. " You know there's a saying that says a monkeys doesn't fall far from trees. " A drunk Aarti said.

'' It's Apples dear. "

" Huh. " Aarti nodded her head at satyendra. Satyendra smiled at a drunk Aarti as he found her cute. It's Apples not monkeys. It says an apple doesn't fall far from a tree.

" It's the same thing they all develop on trees '' replied Aarti. " To answer your question. Yes there's nothing going on here we are just talking about monkeys doesn't fall far from a tree " said a drunk Aarti. '' Don't listen to her dear she's " drunk said Shoba.

" Am refering to you three. You three are woes. Shoooba ma'am you slept with a married man, Saturday sir. "

" It's Satyendra " corrected Satyendra Aarti sweetly. " What did I say. " Aarti asked. " You said Saturday instead of Satyendra. " He said. " Ooh my bad. " She hiccup. " You are in couraging her to disrespect us. " Shoba glared at her husband.

" Shoba she's drunk can't you see. " Satyendra explained. " Hey am not drunk. And you Mr you, kicked your wife Radha out and marrried her. " she hiccupped again.

" How do you know Radha my wife. " Ex wife. " She glared at him. " Yes ex where is she. I want to meet her and my child once '' said Satyendra.
" Why because your daughter is death. You will find her at the Bhopal high street 157 address. " She growl at him. " Look at this untamable brat. " Shoba said. " Stop it Shoba. That's the cemetery address. " Satyendra said turning to Aarti.

" Bingo you get a brownie points for you. She has been buried there 18 year ago. Oh lastly but not least. Arpita is one hungry sl**t like her mother. She aborted her child so she can marry a rich stupid man like Yash." She burped " Excuse me a foolish man like my husband. Yash is a fool " Aarti added

" What my daughter will never stoop that low. " Shoba glared at Aarti who laughed. " And karma is a bitch, your daughter couldn't concieve any more, that was the high price she had to pay. " She hiccuped. " And now she's dead just like her daughter she killed. Do you think Arpita is answering questions from her daughter. Like why did you cut my life short Mama by listening to that wicked grandma. Well she did stoop low. " Aarti said.

" Stop lying about my daughter. You are the one who is the sl**t. You slept with my daughters husband. " Shoba growled at Aarti. " Stop it Shoba. " Satyendra scolded his wife.

" Yes I did and I only lied 5 times in my life. My Ammu is not leir you're the lier. You made Arpita abort her child with Aman God rest his soul in pease. I have prove at home. How did I know this easy Aman was my husband. He told me everything. " Aarti said and missed her step but Satyendra prevent her fall. " Careful dear. What is she saying Shoba. " Satyendra glared at his wife.

" Dear where is my daughter. " Satyendra added. " She's dead are you getting that you forgot Arpita is dead. " Aarti frowned. " Not her am taking about my other daughter. " Satyendra said.

Yash finally made his presence noticed after composing himself. " Aarti there you are I have been looking for you everywhere where have you been. Shoba ma, bauji namaste. " He greeted them." Namaste beta. " they both said.

He watched Aarti closely. " Aarti are you drunk. "

" Me and drunk, no way see " Aarti laughed and tried to raise her leg but miss her step. Luckily Satyendra stopped her from falling. " Your daughter doesn't want to see you cause you're nothing to her, you're the man who broke her mother's heart. " Aarti said to Satyendra. Yash picked Aarti up into his arms and carried her bridal style until their car he drove to their hotel.

" You know when we get to the hotel I want to pond on you so hard argh " said a drunk Aarti. Once they got to their hotel Aarti said something that made Yash became like a volcano ready to erupt. But before they could if start she pass out and Yash kissed the air. " Another cold shower. " He made her sleep comfortable be went into the bathroom.

Part 4

In AarYa's hotel room, Aarti, under the influence of alcohol, exclaimed, “You know, when we get to the hotel, I want to pound on you so hard! Argh!” As they arrived, her words ignited a storm of emotions in Yash, making him feel like a volcano about to erupt. But before he could even respond, Aarti passed out, prompting a resigned sigh from him. “Another cold shower again,” he muttered to himself as he made sure she was comfortable before heading to the bathroom.

After his cold shower, Yash stepped out of the bathroom only to find Aarti in tears. “Aartiji, why are you crying? Is the baby fine? Where does it hurt?” he asked, concern etched on his face. “You want to know? Here, its hurt here deed inside.” she said, pointing at her heart as she continued, “I’m a horrible person Yash. I cheated on Aman with you after everything he’s done for me—marrying me while I was pregnant with someone else’s child.”

Yash was taken aback. “You mean Aman is not the father of your child?”

“Yes, he isn’t. He’s never touched me the way you did,” she replied in a whisper as if she was telling him a big secret.

“So you never had sex with Aman, but you two are married? ” he frowned, and her glare silenced him. “Yes, that’s what the hell I said!” she retorted.

“Then who is the father of your child, Aarti? Did he get you pregnant and abandon you?” Yash said, fury rising within him at the thought of some random man had hurt Aarti, he wanted to kill him.

“You are the father,” she said simply and as she kept hiccuping. “What?!” he yelled, disbelief echoing in his voice.

“Why are you yelling, you idiot? It was you who got me pregnant! You’re the only man who touched me that way!”

“The child you’re carrying is mine?” he couldn’t believe his ears.

“Yes! That’s what I’m telling you, you idiot!” she said, staring at him incredulously.

“When were you planning to tell me I was going to be a father?” His frustration bubbled over.

“I wasn’t planning on telling you a damn thing,” she replied casually.

“So if Aman hadn’t died, you would have never told me about my child?” he asked, exasperated.

“Pretty much. You would have never found out about my baby. Aman would have been the only father he knew,” she said matter-of-factly.

“So I found out about my own child because of a drunken night?” Yash seethed, imagining his flesh and blood being raised by another man.

Aarti passed out again. “Why me, God? What sin have I committed? Why did I have to marry devious women? First Arpita, who married me for my wealth, now Aarti, who kept my child from me and handed my responsibilities to Aman. Thank God he’s gone. I know it’s cruel, but thank God he’s out of the picture. No one will keep me away from my own flesh and blood.”

The next morning, Yash told Aarti they were returning to Bhopal. She agreed, not wanting to argue with him in her hangover haze. But thoughts of why he wanted to go back home, especially since they weren’t due to leave for two more days, consumed her mind.

Yash stared at Aarti over breakfast, as if he were contemplating strangling her and drain the life out of her. They arrived home around mid-morning.

“Aarti bhabhi, are you okay?” asked Kalyani, Malhar’s best friend.

“No, I’m not,” Aarti replied weakly.

“What’s wrong, bahu?” Gayetri asked.

“My head hurts a lot, ma.”

“That’s what you get for drinking,” Yash said sharply still furious about Aarti's lie.

“You drank alcohol? How could you? Did you forget that you’re pregnant?” Gayetri scolded Aarti.

Aarti shook her head. “Then why did you drink alcohol?” Gayetri asked, hands on her hips.

“Ma, you know, curiosity killed the rat. I saw those drinks, they looked tasty, so I couldn’t help myself,” Aarti confessed, cradling her head in her hands.

“It’s curiosity killed the cat, not rat. You seem like you’re still drunk,” Yash glared at her.

“It’s the same thing! A rat saw cheese, tried to steal it, and ended up in a getting caught in a rat trap!” Aarti argued.

Gayetri made Aarti a drink for her hangover and turned to Yash, scolding him for letting her drink.

“Why are you still here? Why don’t you go home? You have been here since morning. ” Maya asked Kalyani, who was enjoying the drama that was unfolding.

“Mom, Kalyani is sleeping over because we have a test to study for, we are starting our exam next week ” Malhar replied.

“Your mother doesn’t like me,” Kalyani whispered.

“Has she ever liked anyone? The most important thing, Kalyani, is that Malhar Scindia likes you,” he whispered back with a wink.

Yash carried their bags to the bedroom while Aarti followed him in silence like a lost puppy.

Part 5

It had been a week since AarYa returned home, and Yash was acting aloof. Unable to endure Yash's strange behavior and Aunt Maya's hurtful remarks any longer, Aarti decided to go out for some fresh air.

She chose to shop for baby clothes when, unexpectedly, a thief rushed past her while fleeing from the police. In his haste, he pushed her, causing Aarti to tumble down the stairs and hit her head hard on the floor. Fortunately, Prashant's wife Nida was nearby, and she quickly took Aarti to the hospital. After regaining consciousness, Aarti returned home with the help of Nida and Prashant.

When Yash got home, he was infuriated to find that Aarti had not returned home since she left earlier that day. To make matters worse, no one knew where she had gone, and she wasn't answering any of his calls. "Maybe she went to see her lover," suggested Buaji.

"Shut up, Maya! If you have nothing positive to say about Aarti, just keep your damn mouth shut," Gayatri snapped as concern for Aarti prompted her to continue speaking. "Oh God, Aarti, what happened? Are you alright? Where did you go?" Gayatri asked, noticing a bandage on Aarti's forehead who just walked in accompany by Prashant and Nida.

"I went to the mall, Ma, to shop for the baby," Aarti replied. "How did you get hurt? Did your lover's wife hit you?" Maya sneered.

Aarti rolled her eyes in frustration. Before she could respond, Detective Lance walked in, followed by Ramdule. "Ma'am, Mr. Lance is here to see Aarti ma'am," Ramdule announced to Gayatri. "What did you do? I knew this girl would ruin our reputation one day!" yelled Maya, glaring at Aarti, who sat with her head in her hands.

"Maya, enough!" yelled Suraj Pratap, irritated with his sister. "She did nothing wrong except discharge herself from the hospital without her doctor's consent," Detective Lance said firmly.

"Aarti!" exclaimed Gayatri, glaring at her daughter in law, who stared at the floor. "Mumji, you know I hate hospitals, so relax. I'm fine. The doctor said the baby is fine, so I had no reason of staying there," she explained, and Yash let out a breath he had been holding.

"Did you see the thief who pushed you down the stairs?" Detective Lance asked.

"Stairs? What the hell were you doing on those stairs, Aarti?" yelled Yash, unable to contain his anger.

"Yash, calm down," Suraj Pratap interjected trying to calm his son down. "I was doing what everyone does on the stairs. The lift was out of service, so I took the stairs, and the next thing I knew, I was pushed off the steps," Aarti explained in response.

"Did you see him, Mrs. Scindhiya?" Detective Lance pressed.

Aarti, feeling furious, retorted, "Are you insane? How could I see his face when he was wearing a mask? Do I look like a witch who could use X-ray vision? Maybe Aunt Maya would have seen who the masked man was because she's a witch in my life!. She has been after my life since day one. " Aarti yelled.

Malhar and Kalyani chuckled at Maya's comical expressions in response. "Bhai, did you hear what this girl said? And you two, don't you have a test to study for? Go to your room Malhar and take your friend with you " Maya complained and scold her son and his friend Kalyani.

"Aarti, calm down, betiya. Yash, take her to her room," Suraj said, ignoring his sister. Yash led Aarti to their room, still maintaining a distance and leaving her even more confused about why he had been so cold towards her since their return home two weeks ago.

Gayatri pondered what had gone wrong in Mumbai that caused Yash to act this way toward Aarti. She had even asked Aarti what had happened during their trip. Aarti had honestly replied that she didn't know.

Because of Yash's behavior, Aarti chose to keep her medical condition a secret from the family. Another reason for hiding her pregnancy complications was to avoid worrying them, especially Gayatri, who had always made sure Aarti felt loved since the day they met. Unlike the typical television portrayal of monstrous mothers-in-law, Gayatri was sweet and caring. Aarti could only pity any girl who had Aunt Maya as a mother-in-law, because that woman was bitter and had a venomous tongue.
