I have a theory on this. I think they will use some meds and lots of manipulations to keep him away from reaching out to mannat and his family. Vikrant wont be able to stay away from his family for 5 long years unless there is some foul play in between.

Mona getting replaced with some different actress as ars makes sense thats why they are letting her have her biggest victory pre leap so after having a possible showdown with mannat, she can take exit on high point.
