Here is the funny thing, a few months before entering the house Amaal had dissociated himself from his family except Armaan. It’s clear he has a LOT of love for his brother and the way he speaks about him.

Now someone wouldn’t dissociate themself from their family just like that unless relations weren’t good. Many parents prefer one child, downplay the other and it causes conflicts. So yes we don’t know what their bond was like, and maybe it is and was flawed.

If Daboo let his failure prevail over their childhood, I see nothing wrong in mentioning it. Maybe it impacted them mentally that their father was chronically depressed.
