Simply because Gaurav isn’t that emotionally attached to Abhishek and neither was Abhishek ever attached to him. Gaurav was clearly upset when Pranit left since he bonded with him more. And he understands that it’s competition at the end of the day and Pranit ne game POV se kia, Abhishek would have literally done the same, contribution ki baat pe wo Ashnoor ko hi bachata over Pranit or GK

I think everyone in the house was shocked that Abhishek got evicted instead of Ashnoor.
Pranit choose as per his compatibility. he probably felt Ashnoor was more compatible with them, so he choose her.
