Exactly this. In reality Baseer can speak and put his points across better than GK, why not tell him one wkv that you come across as weak, like a chelaa. Its very obvious baseer was on their hit list right from the start aisi hit list pe koi bhi ho start se woh mistakes nai karega toh kya karega 😂

I’m not discrediting Amaal for his talent or success - some of his songs are genuinely timeless and will always be on my playlist. But it’s also unfair to pretend that contacts and access due to his family background didn’t help him.

India is overflowing with raw, brilliant talent - every year we see extraordinary singers and composers emerging from SaReGaMaPa, Indian Idol, and independent platforms. They get applause for a few months and then disappear because the industry doesn’t give them the same visibility or network support.

Amaal, like many star-kids or insiders, still had to work hard .. no one’s denying that .. but he started from a platform of privilege. The average struggler begins ten steps behind. I do respect Amal for his songs and talent...Whoever achieves, whether insider or outsider, has to slog - but the starting line isn’t the same for everyone.

Firstly his dad was a failure himself, their family was down in the dumps. Chalo maan bhi liyaa I maintain music composing is far more difficult to nepo it in than acting. You don’t have the bandwidth you have in acting to succeed.

There is no platform or competition of composing in India I have ever heard of. He is not a singer he is a composer.

Composing music is not at all like singing or acting - you either got it or you don’t. Amaal’s discography speaks for itself.

The average struggler absolutely begins 10 steps behind lekin woh kaunsa badee composer ka betaa hai uska baap khud kuch badaa nahin kar pata agar ye case tha.

The whole nepotism debate is two pronged - one that people get a break easily and two that people who don’t cut it get repeated opportunities easily. Getting the ear of a director fair and square I agree with you, but this isn’t acting no Director agrees to put a bad song in their movie for you. He’s on BB now because of his feud with T Series, his brother has all but been driven out of Bollywood. He was dropped from several movies because of his refusal to churn remixes and if he was all that and from such a big family woh BB pr hotaa nahin.

Yaar seriously to koi nhi le Raha. Everyone is having fun only. Northy posted a meme and Rac took it on herself/ himself ( rac was getting serious for no reason) thinking it was a taunt when it wasn't. He clearly was teasing reddit fans and on Twitter and was celebrating here , nothing else.

Doesn't matter what the context is. It's the same thing said using different words.

It’s actually funny how Baseer literally used the word “shit” for other contestants, and somehow that’s being sugar-coated as “bad choice of words” or “calling out gameplay.” 🤷‍♀️

But when GK didn’t even mention anyone else or demean anybody’s contribution -he just said “tu mere season mein aayi thi” - suddenly that becomes “discrediting others”?

Let’s be real, context matters.

GK’s line was reactive and situational — defending his stature and identity in the middle of a heated argument. He didn’t label others as inferior or untalented.It was a reactionary line in an ongoing argumen a moment of asserting his stature and experience, not belittling everyone else’s existence. There’s a difference between confidence mixed with pride and deliberate arrogance meant to demean

Baseer’s comment was generalized and demeaning towards everyone in the house. There’s no hidden noble meaning behind the word “shit.”when Baseer said “contestants of this season are of shit quality”, he directly degraded every other contestant’s worth - not just as players but as people. That’s not a “bad choice of words,” that’s an intentional put-down rooted in superiority.

And yes, both may sound similar on surface, but tone, delivery, and intent are what define arrogance vs assertion.

GK’s statement came from defending his own place; Baseer’s came from looking down on others...at least to me
