Naah, "tu mere season me aayi thi" clearly implies that BB19 is Gaurav Khanna ka season that means no other contestant is significant as he is or he is the biggest star of this season in BB19. "quality of contestant is shit" also did not mean that Baseer saying that others are not as popular as him, he clearly meant the other players aren't playing on front foot like in previous seasons, he was clearly calling out their bad game play out of frustration with bad choice of words nothing else.
But because it was said by baseer who belonged to the negative gang so it was taken out of proportion. Would Gaurav be humiliated for the same like farah humiliated baseer despite the implication of that statement? No because GK is their favourite but baseer wasn't. His statement was taken out of proportion while GK will be hailed for the same.
Also baseer ka statement can also be taken in a context like he explained that he came in a wrong season subtly calling out makers favouritism towards others ( if we are talking about context, both the statements mean the same by GK and Baseer). Both are if protagonists of their own story, both statements showed arrogance. You can't call out Baseer's statement while justifying what GK said, because that's hypocrisy. Doesn't matter what the context is. It's the same thing said using different words.
Itâs actually funny how Baseer literally used the word âshitâ for other contestants, and somehow thatâs being sugar-coated as âbad choice of wordsâ or âcalling out gameplay.â đ¤ˇââď¸
But when GK didnât even mention anyone else or demean anybodyâs contribution -he just said âtu mere season mein aayi thiâ - suddenly that becomes âdiscrediting othersâ?
Letâs be real, context matters.
GKâs line was reactive and situational â defending his stature and identity in the middle of a heated argument. He didnât label others as inferior or untalented. It was a reactionary line in an ongoing argumen a moment of asserting his stature and experience, not belittling everyone elseâs existence. Thereâs a difference between confidence mixed with pride and deliberate arrogance meant to demean
Baseerâs comment was generalized and demeaning towards everyone in the house. Thereâs no hidden noble meaning behind the word âshit.âwhen Baseer said âcontestants of this season are of shit qualityâ, he directly degraded every other contestantâs worth - not just as players but as people. Thatâs not a âbad choice of words,â thatâs an intentional put-down rooted in superiority.
And yes, both may sound similar on surface, but tone, delivery, and intent are what define arrogance vs assertion.
GKâs statement came from defending his own place; Baseerâs came from looking down on others...at least to me
