If he would have been just image conscious then it would have been difficult to even sacrifice his captaincy because he knows it would also look wrong. He thinks from all perspectives he is not impulsive for image. He did that because he got emotional for sure but still in return atleast 1% of gratitude?? Kunika already met her son but still he choosed to do that. So atleast 1% of that gratitude?? But what did she do?? In wkv she started speaking against him, she initiated chamach fight, she started speaking against him. Even before this fight, she was speaking shit about gaurav why?? Because he didn't tolerate her disrespect in the nomination table. Hence even if I agree gaurav may have overreacted once, kunika is way more wrong than him as she triggers him. The kitchen fight was also started by her and she abused gaurav and went on upbringing. If she really had feelings for him she wouldn't have played the age card against him

But Kunika asked him to judge fairly and that she wouldnt have any issue if he tore it. He also said in the starting that he would not give the letter. He only gave it to her because they got emotional after Pranit's letter. I dont think Kunnu owes anything to him
