Maira didn't have any idea about her mother thanks to spineless. She was motherless child craving for mother and saw Patanjali as mother figure.

After knowing about Ab its human nature to feel love and affection toward Ab. She us a kid who 1wants her both parents.

Ab has suffered a lot due to thrashmaan.
