OMG.....This gave me goosebumps....the music....that glimpse of Bira as Shri Ram....

Indian mythology fascinates ,......I have started watching Shrimad Ramayan........

I am just hoping that it lives up to the grand epic that Ramayan is.......It is scary when one of these epic stories are filmed ......

I am sure Bira will do it........Jai Shri Ram.....

I thought ramayana was more about ram along with lakshman, sita and hanuman, the good towering over evil. But here people are hyping up yash and him playing raavan, his name was also credited along with rks, the rest of the cast is introduced after him.

But I guess thats what happens when a big star is playing raavan, the movie is all about rk and yash, everybody else is secondary. Also interesting how the very last shot of the teaser is yash as raavan

Ramayan happened because of Ravan.....It is a story of Ram vs Ravan....

Lord Vishnu took birth as a human Ram.......because Ravan had a vardaan that no one could end his life........he didn't add humans to his list when asking for a boon from Lord Bramha because he thought that how can ....a weak human end him....

So no Ramayan is not just a story about Ram walking with Sita and Hanuman....it was about Ram and Ravan.....and yes good won over evil.....

I don't want to be naysayer from the beginning itself , but where is Sita ji ?

Ramayana is not just the story of Lord Rama. It's not a story of war between Ram and Ravan. Just like Kurukshetra war is a tiny part of Mahabharat, though a crucial one, war between Rama and Ravana is a small part of Ramayan. The story started before Lord Ram's birth and ended after he left his mortal vessel and went back to Vishnulok.

Presenting it as a story of Ram Ravan war is not the right take . Looks like Sita Ji will be a footnote in this story.

I know its ram vs raavan, but on all the depictions I've seen of Ramayana, raavan is not presented on the same scale as ram. Ram is presented on a much higher scale along with sita and lakshman.

Just type ramayana into Google and these are images you get of books, tv show posters and illustrations, ram, sita, lakhshman and hanuman are at the forefront

Probably gonna be the highest grossing Indian film ever given the strong technical team they have and ofc you cannot go wrong with the story (unless you are daft as the Adipurush team) as it is already an epic!!

So? The larger the life the villain is the more appealing the entertainment value will be when he gets defeated eventually. As for the epic, the original story, always had Raavan as an invincible king who only an avatar of Lord Vishnu could vanquish, so what are you bothered about? Just because some earlier adaptations had the images you shared above and a weaker portrayal of Raavan does not mean they are more authentic.

Who said I'm bothered? I just noted that raavan is presented on the same scale as ram, which is different to how he's been presented in previous shows or book illustrations. And a reason could that yash is playing raavan, he is a big star, his name appears along with ranbirs, im not saying its an issue, just simply mentioning it.
