Channel has promoted Malla as best friend of Mannat and tag her in posts too. She is important in the story from the beginning.

ARS and Neetu kept saying Malla needs to be more of her mother. Malla will follow her mother's footstep and plot to marry Vikrant for money. The repeated gold digger taunt on Mannat, ARS making Mannat accept it in front of Vikrant and the 50% shares, the sisters are mirror of each other. I think Aman truth will break the mirror.

Ae dil hai mushkil song yesterday, the lyrics are another hint. No doubt Vikrant loves Mannat, but he doesnt know Mannat. Mannat is Vikrant's safar and manzil. He will know Mannat to reach her. Same with Mannat.

If ARS had donated her liver in exchange of the recording, Mannat will not be able to expose ARS ever. ARS donated liver and Shruti is alive, Mannat will not reveal why she demanded share and money from Vikrant. She was leaving with Shruti but ARS had to start her killing spree again. I like that Mannat got the share as backup, she knows ARS will not stay quiet. But when she has rejected ARS, then why take her shares? ARS as always ruins her own plan. Her reaction in bts, loved it. Mannat is back in SM and Mezbaani with more power. ARS thought she had successfully diverged Mannat-Vikrant path, but then created a convergent herself.

As much as I dont like Mannat in SM, I hope the rumours that Shruti will stay with her is true. Miss their bond. Its like Mannat cursed herself when she vowed to expose all the secrets in that house, she keeps getting pulled back there until its done. On the bright side, I will get to enjoy ARS-Mannat tashan.

I suppose in itv shows are dependant on trp viewership, so more twisted, bizarre and negative plots help with this, to the expense of logical and good storytelling. This is the difference between the small screen and blockbuster movies, which rely the storyline.

As you say, it will now move to mother daughter battles, ARS loosing her business shares will try to get the upper hand and manipulate Vikrant into battling with Mannat too perhaps. Let’s see if there is any strength left in his character and to face the challenge of the Aman truth…… writers may eventually unite ManVik, as you say, they are divinely blessed and meant to be together, but the path is going to be controversial and agonising for the audience. But having supremely good lead actors in Adnan and Ayesha, they may manage to pull it off?

One interesting aspect will be how Mannat reacts to her half sister (after the dust settles) assuming Malla won’t know that truth for a while? And when vice versa Malla finds out Mannat is her sister….

From Vikrants perspective - he trusted Malla, he trusted his mom …. Both will be the biggest betrayal. He was constantly since Bobby track looking for proofs from Mannat, he is still unable to trust Mannat when she asks for shares in Mezbaani … he asked her to leave… so ARS is right, he easily accepted Mannat for a gold digger … granted he was drunk so will give him BOD!

If you see overall Vikrant should have blind trusted Mannat but he just didn’t have that in him… in contrast he does trust (blind) his mom and Malla.. so he will have to pay a hefty price!!!

Vikrant as played by Adnan brilliantly… you can’t beat him up you can’t fully blame him you do feel sorry for him but also feel like slapping him; then you feel sad for him not getting love back… but then you want to beat him up for falling for mallas trap

I completely agree on this...

In fact there's another angle to this trust factor now...

Even if Vikrant keeps saying he doesn't remember no one is going to believe him ... not even Ronnie and Neetu I think.

And Malla will continue to pressurize and guilt trip him...

Vikrant might first hand experience what Mannat went through when he didnt trust her without proofs!!!!

They cant show Malla winning with such tactics right??? Even if its for a short while.

I'm saying in relation to Vikrant, she was not a relevant character. She was mannat's best friend. My impression about her importance was always to do with the fact that she was Mannat's sister ultimately.

She idolises her mother and to know that her ideal mother had feet of clay...through Mannat's truth. Which is a very important role in the ARS Mannat story, which is the focus at this point.

I didn't see her as the typical third wheel between Vikrant and Mannat. ironically, the actor has played a similar role in her previous show ..same rivalry with step sister.

There is a way the characters were introduced, and the story was told. It was different.

And making it typical has not really increased TRP so much.

Which is why the marriage is completely wrong. They could have delayed the marriage and started the new drama.

i hope Vikrant at least fights a bit, tells people about the fake proposal.
