I have already made a long comment about the current dynamics of AM and how that was shown in the first episode. So just to answer your question in bold -- I think the reason people harp on getting married is that people need community and people can be very lonely. I would say that based on observation, people don't go after self-reliant people as much because there are some people who are islands. They enjoy their own company. However, even they struggle at times.
I recently came across a post in Reddit where a comment described their situation this way -- "adult orphans" ; the entire post was about loneliness -- the woman had not married, no kids and she was in her 40s. Despite having friends and relatives, many folks feel very isolated when they don't have a husband or children. They go to events but there is no one to celebrate their wins. There is no one to discuss the mundane part of life.
When you are in your 20s, there is plenty of activity to keep you going. Career can be a huge buzz. However, as time passes, lot of people are dissatisfied and feel empty even after reached their career goals. At that point, it may be difficult to find someone because your pool is limited. Everyone you know is busy with their own life and so other than meeting occasionally, you are on your own. So it is from that perspective, there is so much pressure to get settled.
People think that if you don't get settled by a certain age, then you are doomed. However stupid much of ITV is, dramas also show us how we cannot jump into relationships or marriage because we are afraid of the clock or the future. There are plenty of broken marriages and relationships in ITV and so it does not mean that just because you get married, you will be guaranteed a happy ever after.
What is lovely about BALH is that it shows that we are not bound by time. It does not mean love cannot find you even when people have written you off. That is why so many people still love the original Bade Acche Lagte Hain -- it gives hope to the lonely and really tells you that love can find you when you least expect it.
I found mine at 33 .5 ish when i had more or less given up and decided my older bro and my bff would probably be the only men I can trust Fully..but life happened ..my close friend asked me out and i decided to take a leap of faith and got married at 34 ish and had my kid at 35.
But i had a small but strong support circle who let me be
Yes we already got Kaddu's thread..Now we definitely need a dedicated thread to celebrate Baalzilla and long silky locks..I love the name Baalzilla Nisha
Yes, Nisha, we need to have a separate thread to discuss his hair and its evolution.
He seems to be gaining weight it seems. That's good for start.

That is such a lovely story. Thanks for sharing.
Still waiting for my own Rishab to show up -- though he better not have such awful hair. I will definitely push him towards a salon for a haircut if that happens.

It is definitely a good thing that he gains some weight. Some people look better with a little more fat as they have such sharp features. Otherwise, part of me was wondering if Harshad is depressed because the smile was not reaching his eyes. It is nice to see him actually smile it feels like.

Ps : i will not complain much on that beizatti karwane se accha hai hum unknown hi rahe 🤣
The new movie which has Jhanvi and Sid has FL from Kerala..But she still dresses up like a tamilian in half saree and they show some houseboats.. Itv and Bollywood always stereotype south indians as the same, with similar hindi accent and some "ayyo"..I find this annoying..
