No, Gong Yoo won't be there in season 3 because the salesman (the name of his character) killed himself in the first episode of the season 2. He was there in the season 1 too. In fact, Gi-hun (the protagonist) ended up playing the deadly games in the season 1 only because of him. Lee Jung-jae (the actor who played the role of the protagonist) is also a very good actor. I really like the character, Gi-hun. He's compassionate and sympathetic towards others. A lot of people who play those deadly games are selfish. They don't hesitate to kill others. But Gi-hun isn't like that at all. In fact, after winning Squid Game, he didn't want to use the prize money because he considered that to be blood money. I think his confrontation scenes with the frontman will be interesting in the season 3. He pretended to be his friend in the season 2 and Gi-hun didn't know he was his enemy, the frontman. That's because he never saw the frontman before. When he will come to know that the player 001 was the frontman, he won't probably be able to trust anyone again. The frontman didn't kill Gi-hun even though he had opportunity. I think he didn't kill Gi-hun because he wanted to break him mentally. He wanted him to loose faith in humanity. He also killed someone close to Gi-hun infront of him eyes. The frontman knew that would be more painful to Gi-hun than his own death. I wrote a lot of spoilers.
