The IPL 2025 race is nearly done. We have officially reached the start of the finish line. Just two final games and three teams remain. While RCB sit back and wait for their opponents on Tuesday, both Mumbai and Punjab will battle it out tonight for a slot in the all-important final. Hello and a booming welcome to Qualifier 2. Let's hope we have a thrilling game on our hands.

Can MI do it again? The great Tennis legend Rafael Nadal is known for his tenacity. When you almost thought that the game was done and dusted, he found ways to dig in and fight till the last inch. Rafa was all about never giving up and staying in the fight. Mumbai Indians are best defined for their comebacks. Known to be slow starters, they somehow - more often than not - manufacture paths of recovery. Quite impressively, the story is no different this season either. Having lost 4 of their first 5 games, MI were in dire straits and looked set to finish in the bottom half of the table. However, as most champion teams do MI once again ignited that much-needed mid-season spark. Post their 5th game, they won 6 out of the next 6 and did that in quite emphatic fashion. With the likes of Rohit, SKY, Tilak, Hardik and Bumrah they will surely start this contest as hot favourites.

We have lost the battle, but not the war. Shreyas Iyer did look a bit deflated after the loss in Qualifier 1, but he concluded his post-match comments with the aforementioned statement. It was truly a statement and half in every sense. Remember, he is no stranger to IPL finals. Win tonight and it will be Iyer's third IPL final as skipper in the last 6 years. The coach-captain (Ponting-Iyer) combo has got plenty of eyes rolling this season. Intent. Backing your players. Delivering results and finishing on top of the table of course. The Kings may have lost 2 of their last 3 games, but their latest win came against Mumbai Indians and a convincing one at that. They might appear slightly weak on the bowling front compared to their opponents, but it is their batting that has all the ability to overpower their opponents. Can they win tonight and make their second appearance in an IPL final?

Monga now with an update on Deepak Chahar: "Can't see the bandage on Chahar's leg. Topley is bowling on the side pitch. Chahar has the baseball mitt now. So looks like Topley in, Chahar out"
