I think Vikrant has been emotionally abused by his mother for a very longtime that to get out from underneath that abuse will not be an easy task. Emotional abuse is not easy to pick up on when you are the one being abused. He sees it as his mum is very possessive of him proving she loves him very much. I would be interested to see what Neetu does if Vikrant has another flashback. The ones he has had when he has taken the pills he doesn't seem to remember. But the first one he had during that holi dahan event seemed to shake him and even hearing the name Aman triggered him but in both instances other events happened that made him rush to be with Mannat he hardly had time to analyse those events. Unlike Mannat he never seems to question things for long.

Looks like vikranth have a very happy and progressive childhood like his parents showered him with love, morals and freedom to put his thoughts as it is .... Even in initial episodes or even now ,no one can make vikranth to do anything against his wish (not sure from here on), even in Bobby track even after suicide attempt he did what he wants too .. he is not emotionally abused child .... Even neetu I guess when they are foreign must be very sane.... All problem started since they entered India , vikranth flashbacks and him giving importance to other girl is neetu trigger.....and she started to behave the way she is doing now..... Before this she didn't gave him single reason to doubt her....

Remember he was surprised when for the first time neetu bashed mannath bcoz he never saw her live that

Mannat did not have an ego when she said she won't apologise... it came from a place of truth since she clearly knew and saw Neetu was lying. Remember Mannat had noticed Neetu putting medicine in the village. She is not making baseless claims.

Mannat had also apologized earlier to Puneet after the freezer kaand... on Vikrants behalf... even when she was not wrong. So it's definitely not ego.

Also she did acknowledge that she doesn't know why Neetu is drugging him... but like many of us can see and think.. Neetu drugging Vik when he had had a head injury is when Neetu started being extremely selfish.

I have been sympathetic to her majorly because I feel they are trying to make a bigger point and I hope Mukta takes it up...

Actions like these cannot be justified in the name of love... as Ronnie rightly pointed out... today it was possessiveness for Vikrant and not his safety or concern.

Mannat intervened only when she saw Neetu lying on Vikrant. The manipulated kasam... which is what broke the calm for Mannat.

Vikrant is not at fault right now... they showed him quite sensible given the circumstances

I said Vikrant‘a actions made mannat believe that he never trusts her without evidence ..it hit her woman side of ego ..from the love part ..

She is angry and hurt with Vikrant ..and not looking from his pov..she did acknowledge that he is being manipulated but still she isn’t in his shoes so she might not understand what allegation she is putting ..

Neetu doesn’t want to harm Vikrant ..she isn’t evil ..she is just a victim to her mental instability

Mannat is outwardly so resilient, managing the crises from Shruti mum, Sunita mum, birth mum’s betrayal, ARS’s open hatred, distancing from her bff and chawl, onto top her new found emotions of her admiration for her BKB /Boss turning into love for Vikrant himself. So it’s no surprise something had to give! Her last words to Vikrant about lack of trust won’t help them survive harder times so better to part ways now… hit Vikrant and Mannat hard. They can patch up by overlooking issues (like when he desperately asked her to apologise to his mum) but she’s right, they will end up arriving to the same point when another bigger incident arises.

Vikrant has had an emotionally sheltered life (that he remembers) where his mother and father have been the most loved and important people for him. His new found love for Mannat is deep and he is now grappling with how to keep them both as per scene where he sat with Mannu & it took Malla to shake him out of his daze and go after his mother. He hasn’t voiced that he doesn’t believe or trust her, but for Mannat that’s not enough.

Mannu does need support but it’s not fair of Vikrant to try to be that support but ignore what she has raised about his lack of trust in her. It’s better to let her go too… 💔

and we as audience know Vikrant’s world is going to come crashing down very soon, and without Mannat by his side, he will be eaten up by the vultures around him ❤️‍🩹💔

It’s about both of their growth

I remember once Ronnie had said that Neetu used to sick when Vikrant was young so I think both have this pact to never hurt her or stress her out. Even when she is introduced, he is shown as worried about her taking medicine. I do hope they explore that angle of Neetu's. That will actually lead to Aman's secret. In the flashback on the terrace, which he saw clearly, Neetu was threatening to jump.

Thing is Vikrant expects Mannat to go along with him to please his mom, very much like a wife is expected to do. However, Mannat is more concerned about Vikrant's well being..his well being is her top priority (just like a wife).

Even the bite that she gave him, she got concerned and made sure she healed it.

Thing is both are victims, and they are both going to suffer through this misunderstanding.

How many times has Vikrant apologised in other situations too when he hasn’t even been at fault…..both Ronnie and Vikrant often excuse Neetu’s behaviour etc. So that’s his immature way of dealing with things and keep the peace with his mother, rather than tackle and address the issues. That’s what he’s did now with Mannu, but she’s more mature to see that doesn’t resolve, just masks the problem.

4) I have hopes for Ronnie, as he knows his wife only to well but also his son’s strong feelings for Mannat and knows how good Mannat will be for his son. If Ronnie helps with the situation now, it will help soften the betrayal Vikrant is going to feel for his father too, when the Aman truth is out. I wish he realises that.

6) Writers are unclear which fence Keral is sitting on! They pull her out when wanting a plot to turn a direction, then forget! To me it seems she wants whatever gives them the life of luxury at Salujas expense, so causing the drama and accusing Neetu is confusing 🤔 she’d had been better blackmailing her privately?

Mannat too stayed silent at Neetu's words and behaviour thinking it came from a place of love for her son. She gave chance to Neetu but Neetu didnt say she will stop the drugs. She was quiet until Neetu gave false promise on Vikrant. From watching ITV for years, I believe it means she is putting Vikrant in harm.

If Mannat had apologised, is there guarantee Neetu will stop? By standing on her words till the end, at least Ronnie has started to doubt on Neetu. Ronnie knows why Neetu might do it, but not Vikrant. Mannat said if she saying something as serious as this, there is some truth to it. Will Mannat threaten a doctor to lie? Maybe she mistook medicine good for him as bad for him. I am just hoping he would take her concern seriously.

I have said the same about Keerat too before. She using this situation the way ARS did makes more sense. Raveena would have been more suitable for the exposure.

Beautifully said, at the moment, I don't believe neither Vikrant or Mannat are wrong and this track is more of the evolution of Vikrant and his love/trust for Mannat.

I know, I sound like a broken record, but this trust issue has to be resolved even from Mannat's perspective.

Vikrant writing off Mannat's apprehensions/fears and asking her to apologize to Neetu and moving on like nothing happened was weird but also tells us he is not taking this seriously

One gripe I have though on rewatching, With all the nonsense Neetu spewed against Mannat, I was surprised Vikrant didn't think there was a need for an apology to Mannat

By now what I have understood is Keerat is a double dholki meaning a big opportunist.

She wanted to potray how caring she is in front of Vikrant. Through this she will have an upper hand over Neetu once Malla is married to Vikrant & control him along with ARS.

Even though she doesn't get along with ARS but in establishing entire control over Vikrant both her & ARS are together in this & this way both knoe Malla’s future will be secured. After all Malla is Gagan's daughter.

Once Mannat left the hall, there was a sly smile on Keerat's face. I didn't noticed in 1st watch. Just re watched now & found it.
