Wasn't there supposed to be a naming ceremony where she was going to announce to everyone that he will be called Ruhaan henceforth? I remember seeing many IF articles about it but I admit missing a few episodes back then so maybe I'm remembering wrong.

Yes Maira is a pretty name, usually they spell it Myra but I guess they wanted to match Naira and also her parents' names so they went with the former.

There were IF spoilers at the time and lots of discussion on the forum that she chose the name Ruhaan. Maybe they didn't go through with the storyline for whatever reason.

You can google Ruhi renames Daksh as Ruhaan and lots of articles pop up about it.

You're not remembering wrong, Ruhi printed invitation and told Poddar that she was inviting people and she was changing her son name to Ruhan, but she never went through with it

Yeah I agree regarding the name dkp chose for the baby

I'm sad to see Garvita leave, she really shined in the last few episodes. And if they show Abhira/Poddars raising Daksh, hope they show some solid reason for it rather than some silly reason like career or moving somewhere like they did when Kavya left Mahi with the Shahs/Anupama.
