No one forced him to stay...coming to anniversary he was standing there as her husband and giving wife status infront of society where he failed to give the same status to jhannu when they legally married.

Now iske bhi do reasons hai and one of them plays out in viewers' mind at a time...

one, fans are more attached to Ani and has seen his madness for Jhanak...so expectations hamesha high rahi hai Ani se aur darr bhi kyunki he has flipped in previous few occassions...

Second, some fans bash Ani as he repeatedly falls in the trap of Arshi ke crocodile tears and doesn't throw her out completely from his life, which actually makes his life miserable only..so they feel irritated with Ani for his own dumbness and cowardice..

Dibya we have different povs na..atp literally I don't care where he is pretending to be happy or genuinely happy..

In the previous case when he agreed to marry chudail I understood being a good hearted human he decided to stay with arshi and allowed j to leave him. Now what majboori he had to stay with a woman who betrayed him crushed his dreams ruined Jhanak life completely.
