Jhanak only acts Mahaan. There is no justification for keeping rape kid.

She screwed up Ani by leaving him. If she really trusted Ani when he said he will die without her and really loved him; she would never have left him like that. She knows Ani will move on with Arshi; based on past history. Similarly Ani after saying he will die without Jhanak and that he wont let Arshi back - does just that.

J takes revenge by seeming mahaan. Keeping a child away from its parents is the most criminal way to exact revenge; especially when Ani has told her with baby he and Arshi would have found mutual grounds to sustain their relationship; and she knows Arshi has said she will never divorce Ani - so if she believed it and ran away then she also knows Arshi was not planning to be with Sid.
