This season is already a flop — they’re sinking fast. Neither are they making money, nor pulling in trps. It’s not like Starplus is blindly loyal; at the end of the day, if a show isn’t delivering, Starplus has no reason to keep it alive.
It’s not like Sitara is lenient just because Ghum’s is 7:10 slot and actors are improving. Channel doesn’t care — if you can't bring money and trps, you're gone ,if they had continued with the same cast, story, and FL, Ghum was 100% going off-air right after ipl.
If they had continued with the same cast, story, and FL, Ghum was 100% going off-air right after IPL.
Now, some fans might argue, “Then should just unite TejNei?” But from the makers’ pov, Ghum is their only running show right now. They can’t risk it all just to satisfy online shipping. If Ghum shuts down, there’s no guarantee channel would even give them another show — and even if they did, no guarantee that new show would hit.
When someone is drowning, do they just sit there and accept it? No — they try to save themselves. That’s exactly Ghum’s situation: they’re drowning, and they know if they stay stuck at 1.1 ratings, it’s game over after IPL. Bringing in Savi is just damage control — a last shot at survival. ( Even though they are sinking extremely fast ). That’s why even Starplus started promoting it using Sai and Virat clips — because nostalgia brings viewers. And just FYI, for any script changes or actor replacements, makers need channel approval first.
Online fans don’t drive the show. X trends don’t drive the show, foreshadowing yeh character aysa that character vaise tha , they can change the whole character in a min. Trp always drive the show.. And channel nd makers will always chase whatever brings them money.
