Priya..You are saying Arshi’s pov seems justified as she is shouting ( her voice is strong) - why would one consider a strong voice instead of the merit of the message in any situation?
While I give zero marks to Leena for her ability to give any pov on gaslighting actual victimhood etc.. imv it’s so frustrating if viewers who make an effort to analyse a story say that a strong voice is akin to a justified opinion..
Relationships die all the time. Cheating on a partner cannot be criminalised… In fact even adultery ( in marriage) is now decriminalised cos that is how society evolves. What a process of divorce through law offers is a mechanism for amicable settlement of grievances that arise in civil unions. Also there are mechanisms for other redressal lfor cases of cheating with an intention to defraud etc
Here, this intention to separate by Ani from Arshi while in live in ( but deliberately called marriage for audience) was just a mode to keep adding episodes. Then when Arshi moved for 3 days, she came back with baby and they did a marriage. Now they are talking about divorce of that marriage but acting as if the marriage is from the Aag period but anyways…the point is through this entire period show me a time when Ani and Arshi shared love. I would root for a love story not a bondage. All Ani owed Arshi was a sorry for the breakdown of the relationship which Ani has lived through in these months but their honest conversation wasn’t ever possible between these two cos Arshi hasn’t ever acknowledged the possibility of a breakdown. Ani has conveyed his inability to stay with Arshi on numerous occasions but if a partner does not wish to acknowledge this and only talks up the aspect of cheating etc how is this justified? That is what I am saying that the difference in Imlie and Jhanak serial is this
there was a face off between Malini and Imlie/Adi cos there was an acknowledgment in the narrative of opposing points of view and the protagonist and antagonist were perhaps facing eo…
In Jhanak there is no clear fight between the two… It is happening in silos with Ani wrangling every now and then and it is limited to asking for freedom ….and Jhanak isn’t even yet in the battlefield and Arshi acting as if she is owed obsequiousness from all to her as some royalty and the two idiots treating her as near royalty so it’s too irritating. I can understand if the narrative wants to highlight the issues when good and evil are pitted and how goodness always suffers from walking the path of goodness but atleast I would still expect the narrative to acknowledge that it is fight of ethics rather than a situation of one guy acting as if all depends on J and Arshi’s mood and other acting as if everything depends on Arshi’s mood. Victims ko apne victimhood ka ehsaas toh karate in 500 episodes
