Rahul raises the bat, thumps his chest with it a couple of times before proceeding with the handshakes. Chinnaswamy is his backyard in domestic cricket but tonight he was in the opposition and completely silenced the crowd who were hopeful of a win after a bright start with the ball. The pitch was tricky as there was variable bounce and it was a bit two paced as well. But with Rahul in this touch, none of that mattered once he decided to open his shoulders. RCB will look back at that dropped catch early in Rahul's innings. Things could've been different if Patidar had held onto that catch with DC on 22/2. But it wasn't to be and there was no stopping Rahul from that point. Stubbs showed his class as well, polishing off the chase in style after taking some time to get his eye in. With this win, Delhi Capitals have won their first four matches of an IPL season for the first time ever.

Wow. What a run-chase. For a while, it felt that it had been derailed, especially after the Capitals lost three inside the powerplay. Axar fell soon after, which left this partnership to do the bulk of the heavy lifting. And boy, did they do it. Rahul led from the front, soaking up all the pressure at the start and then opening up his shoulders just as the heavens opened up. He took down Hazlewood, perhaps earmarked by RCB as their enforcer towards the end, and that left the hosts rummaging for answers they ultimately could not find.

Yes score was less. No score pressure for DC. They had pressure as they lost 4 wickets

Credit to Stubbs as well. He came in at a time when DC were threatening to flag. But he kept at it, ticking things over and forging a solid partnership with Rahul. DC were helped by the fact that RCB had a fifth-bowler quota to fill, for which they turned to Livingstone, who ended up conceding 14 in an over that shifted the momentum. Bhuvneshwar and Dayal, subsequently, had tougher gigs and in the end, DC had too much for RCB, and RCB had too little in the board to tide over it.
