I think it's Adnan's brilliant acting which makes you feel bad for Vikrant's character. Even when he is mad he has a boundary (touchwood) which he doesn't cross makes us feel bad for him and then the way he comes to apologize in the cutest way.

Merko dono kye liye bura laga actually . We kind of know why Vikrant is so effected since he is on borderline love, but it was surprising Mannat was so effected by his words and still takes the flower branch with her from the hospital.

Hopefully after the Shalini track we get some introspecting scenes of these 2.
