That is my point as well. No matter the track, trps will not increase during IPL. IPL has become a summer ritual for most Indian households, no one is switching the channels to watch this crap. Ardent followers of the show anyways will watch on JioHotstar.

Kuch Rang came up with the baby leap before rishta, in 2017 itself. Idk if any other show did it before that tho. I can’t remember any show with similar leaps.

But Maati main toh surrogate thi hi nahi - Maati toh copied Rishta ka baby swap plot (by employing Rishta ki writer) & Ghum ka adoption plot and still got shut down
