Listen , everyone's point of view regarding ideas of lust , love can be different depending on what a person has learnt. A lot of people will agree that unexplained obsession for a toxic person is nothing but physical attraction/lust while on the other hand filmy ideaology people will believe otherwise.

Yes imo Abhimanyu can never be equated to Abhir. He is far from Abhir in terms of behaviour. He is the guy who respected and valued others' right and owned up to whatever decision he took. What is Abhir doing after he married Kiara? He is blatantly going after Charu while keeping his wife, Kiara in the dark. He has crossed all the boundaries.

As far as marriage track is concerned, people are not robots jab man kiya tho feelings delete kare. If a person sees the one whom (s)he loves anyone becomes emotional..it is the self-control and the values that makes the person to stop going further. That's what Abhimanyu did...he was affected by her presence but he never tried to cross the boundary.
